No i was stating that fact as a fact you dont get to tell me how i implied my post, my offer is now off the table as you have failed to point out where i've actually complained
I mean, that first line clearly isn't true. You want to argue that Talon has been "respectful", "factual" or "constructive".
Actually until you came along with the insults all but 1 of my comments were jokes, im sorry you cant handle it when i insult back
I'll actually take some opportunity to say something on it now. I don't think a blanket ban on guns would be a solution for the US - I don't think it'd be a pragmatic solution for a country with more guns than people. Instead, I'd probably support the complete removal of the "private show" loophole (it's a bit sporadic as to how it's enforced, with some enforcing and others not), and ensuring all sales have to be made with a background check - 22% ... of gun owners who reported obtaining their most recent firearm within the previous 2 years reported doing so without a background check" (Firearm Acquisition Without Background Checks | Annals of Intern.. , 2015). Background checks are not thorough enough with regards to mental illness (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/01/06/us/how-people-with-mental-illness-are-able-to-obtain-guns.html) (this is ignoring entirely the fact that a privatised US healthcare system discourages the mentally ill to seek help anyway due to the financial burden such help would bring). Regarding shootings alone "at least 168 of mass shooters’ weapons were obtained legally and 52 were obtained illegally. It’s unclear how 78 weapons were acquired" (Mass shooting statistics in the United States). I think the very first step to actually solving gun crime comes in the form of intense background checks, including those with an even minor history of violence, and at least some sort of free and accessible mental healthcare. I don't believe gun violence is the creator of violence - I think the creators of violence are poverty and lack of mental healthcare, and you can't have an uber-capitalist country like the US where both lack of support regarding mental health and overwhelming poverty exist, in combination with easy access to weapons - you can really only have one or the other because the former will always cause the latter to be an issue. I hope that clarifies my stance, and that is why I would be strongly opposed to the introduction of guns to the UK to any degree, and it's why there needs to be some great increase in gun control insofar that the US is a strongly capitalist and economically divided country.
You're not having a fucking discussion, you're throwing a baby temper tantrum and screaming because everyones pointing out that you're saying dumb shit.
