It was created by an Australian for the direct purpose of manipulating our political system. I'd say it's pretty fucked up and operates in bad faith.
A good chunk of Republicans (or at least those who ascribe to the latest GOP policies) are also fucking idiots who unfortunately abuse the voting powers they have to elect Trump and his like. Ironically they don't realise how this would make their idol more alike a dictator than they ever feared Obama/Hilary could be. It's a shame really because of all the US population the most militant have a habit of leaning towards the right (due in no small part to the DNC's stupidity with firearms policy and the GOP preying on that stupidity) so we can't even hope for them to help put a bullet in the heads of Trump, his cabinet and the rest of the government fucking everyone over, they included.
Deported? We used to kill people for being traitors. I'd rather these people be put to death row personally, but I know that would open a giant can of worms, so deportation is the more sane option. They're too far gone and are threats to national security. Seriously, these people are so god damn brainwashed that they'll never change. You can remove the POTUS but these people will still exist and that alone is dangerous.
Oh, they'd fit right in. This particular kind of fervent, all-hating 'patriots' is ubiquitous here.
I think it's come to a point where it's not even about party anymore. It's become a pure sport. How it's done and the consequences are irrelevant: winning elections is like winning sport leagues now, with the Presidency being like the national championship.
This article was posted a couple days after conservatives got in a proper strop about how Alex Jones being removed from Facebook is a violation of free speech, which is real important to them and stuff.
That implies most of them ever did. The worst of Trump's supporters were always racist shitlords - it's just they had to sit in the back of the isle so more "reasonable" Republican candidates could have a chance of willing. Now that the commander in chief is an open xenophobe who doesn't even try to mask his reprehensible beliefs in codewords or pleasing langauge, the deplorables know its their time in the spotlight. The GOP can't do a damn thing to shut them down, because it's not their party anymore: it's the party of Trump.
Sexually impotent white men feeling cuckolded by influx of immigration and the downturn of traditional white christian culture being cast cast away in favor of diversity and liberal ideas about women, homosexuality, and race. Combined with the fact that white communities in the midwest, south, and Appalachia have been devastated by the opioid epidemic and the erosion of the middle class, when a candidate stops speaking to all Americans and starts speaking directly to white Americans who feel they've been thrown away by everybody else, they worship that guy. No matter how trashy Trump is, he's still somehow less trashy than his supporters
I would suggest you all read the poll directly as well, it goes over other information The large majority of Americans, 85%, agree that the “Freedom of the press is essential for American democracy.” Additionally, two-thirds (68%) say that “reporters should be protected from pressure from government or big business interests.” Majorities of both Democrats and Republicans agree with these two statements signaling deep support for the concept of freedom of the press. its still worrying but I wouldnt call it quite apocalyptic.
We're all really quick to jump on the Orwell comparisons but this is honestly more Fahrenheit 451. The people are complicit in the censorship of the media and the decay of society.
DC won't. They were already livid with the prison camps. If they shut down media, they would be rioting.
First off, the good news. The large majority of Americans, 85%, agree that the “Freedom of the press is essential for American democracy.” Additionally, two-thirds (68%) say that “reporters should be protected from pressure from government or big business interests.” Majorities of both Democrats and Republicans agree with these two statements signaling deep support for the concept of freedom of the press. I don't like the habit of news media has of over representing a minority of Americans by putting them in the headline
President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho when?
