You hit the nail on the head and it's actually crazy. Just to dive into an anecdote from my own life, my partner comes from a very conservative and religious upbringing. When she met me, I introduced her to a lot of sources and ideas regarding topics her family generally didn't care much for. Aside from reliving the horror of someone fully coming to grasp with how fucked our planet is at the moment, I found it really interesting how jarring it was for her to try and broach this topic with her super-conservative, god-loving family. They scoff at it, it's a literal fairy tale to them. They wave it off like it's some sort of leftist propaganda. Not even one of their own family members can get them to even glance at the evidence.

That's really scary to witness first hand, because - as you basically put it - it spells fucking doomsday for one side of the political spectrum, while the other side isn't just ignoring it, but doubling down on measures to fuck it up even more.

How do you talk with people, share your ideas and try and 'show them the light' as it were, if they think you're actually full of shit at best, and at worst, are completely okay with the planet going to shit because gods gonna save the righteous anyway.

I got lost there a bit but basically, shit like this really frightens me.

buuuut, y'know what's even worse? the resulting mass greening will shortly suck up all the carbon, and then you get ice cube earth. Such is the land distribution, try it when the poles move to both be on water
