Can you let me know how many false steps Trump has made?
So you want them to go back to their former organization even though they'd be doing the exact same job?
Here's a better question: how is that relevant? Are you trying to say that the best way to avoid false steps and misconstructions is to be a colossal, uncaring asshole with absolutely zero regards for dialogue and compromise, with the help of a fanatical voterbase ready to go "fake news lmao" or just plain old not give a fuck about vast chunks of the country getting screwed over because "not my problem lol"? Because that sure seems to be working for him, so surely the best course of action is for all of politics and related discourse to dive down to Trump and t_d's levels, yes? Or mayyyybe, we could realize that boldly going for partisan and debatable policies that mostly pander to one extreme or the other (and give your extreme opponents a golden chance to put the seed of doubt into undecided moderates) is probably not the way to go, unless you want the whole thing to keep spiraling further and further into an even bigger clusterfuck.
Medicare for all has a majority of support when polled amongst all americans though. Maybe both sides are not the same.
Then it's no longer a partisan issue but a common point, fucking top stuff, it's about time the US is in favor of getting a first-world tier medical system. Focus on this common ground and you have a better chance to unite people against the moldy rich bastards but once again how is this relevant, once again you went on a completely unrelated tangent. One thing having bipartisan support doesn't mean everything else or at least something completely different suddenly does, and keeping a highly partisan mindset has suddenly stopped being counterproductive. I'll be honest, I'm not sure anymore you're even trying to stay on track and it's starting to feel like you're just having a fucking giggle.
It's not really a unrelated tangent, it's something that the left wants and the far right wants nothing to do with. I fundamentally don't think working and finding common ground with the gop is worthwhile because of the huge gulf that has grown between the parties. Democrats have tried to compromise with republicans since at least Clinton and it hasn't really panned out for them.
