This shit tells us so much about the partisan divide in the States. For Republicans, it's got nothing to do with policy, or how well families in the US can get by under one party or another. It's about tribalism and fear, period. It's hardly a wonder they keep supporting the party that fucks them up the ass again and again. Liberalism is too scary.
Basically it means its a tossup who wins. In order to be confident in victory you'd need a 14 point lead since actual results from polls tend to leap about that much. Cruz could either obliterate his opponent with a 23 point lead or get narrowed out by a 12 point one, for example.
This is cartoonish shit. "Ohh we're all gonna be blue-haired metrosexual soy-eaters if we let a Democrat oohhhh!" How is anyone braindead enough to listen to this human driftwood.
This is what's bothering me most. Beto's an idiot for taking the pro-AWB stance in fucking Texas. That'll cost him votes and gain him nothing, liberals would vote for him regardless of his stance on guns because the alternative is Ted Cruz. But no he's got to open his big mouth and start alienating voters to appease the Democrats.
I don't think you understand how close to flipping much of the South is, it's more about policy than you think. If the dems would drop a few specific policies the South would flip instantly. You have a loud minority of extremist conservatives who support the GOP based on this tribalism and a large pool of true conservatives who wouldn't give a damn about 90% of democratic policies if they dropped the ones that seem to be designed to antagonize conservatives. Fun fact: Ted Cruz had a rally planned in my county but canceled it because we have officially flipped blue for the first time in history.
Then I hope the Democrats get smart. Gun control won't work in the USA, anyway.
There's county level poll access?
Not an official election poll. I dunno exactly how it was recorded.
If a dem gets power can they ban Ted Cruz from making statements about stuff getting banned?
What's so stupid is that it's the federal Senate, not the Texas legislature, there's pretty much no way for a senator to influence states in ways like fucking banning barbecue.
It can be done, but pushing yet another AWB is a perfect example of how not to do it.
They'll take away our guns, our straws, and our BBQ? What will be next? Our fucking super duty's? I just can't even right now
Well tbf I'm pretty sure California would love to take away big diesels And I'm with them. Too many stay at home dads tooling around in diesel duallies that never do any actual work with them. It's no wonder rural towns in Texas routinely have air quality hazards.
Add to that the idiots with their bro-dozers rolling coal because "hurr hurr much smoke".
What's that all about, anyway? Some sort of childish rebellion in an attempt to troll the climate-conscious?
Yes Some drivers intentionally trigger coal rolling in the presence of hybrid vehicles (when it is nicknamed "Prius repellent") to cause their drivers to lose sight of the road and inhale harmful air pollution. Coal rolling may also be directed as an act of display or aggression directed at foreign cars, bicyclists, protesters, and pedestrians.[5][6][7][8] Practitioners cite "American freedom" and a stand against "rampant environmentalism" as reasons for coal rolling.
If we're especially lucky, lung cancer will remove them from the gene pool before they can breed.
Anyone that sabotages the engine of a vehicle that is equipped to do this should be absolved of any related charges That, or they should be legally required to pump the exhaust through the cabin before it is allowed to enter the atmosphere.
New poll has Beto and Ted tied 50/50
