These types of fuckers are all that will be coming from far right and their enablers until they lose every office and more.
Graham is such a piece of shit. Waxes lyrical about how the other side's trying to make this a political thing when he and his cohorts have been doing that the entire fucking time.
This pussyfart fratboy gave the country every bit of reason, given his immature behavior at this hearing today, to believe he is utterly emotionally incapable of holding one of the highest seats in the land. What a god damn embarrassment.
Damn Cruz was really sucking his dick wasn’t he
It looks like they are voting tomorrow so it's down to Flake now, this will be the final chapter of his Senate career. He's got to decide how he wants to remembered, or rather if.
I fear how partisan things will be by 2028.
He went on record stating, more or less, 'I will have my revenge on you Democrats for this ridiculousness' and will then later swear to be impartial and interpret the law without bias.
This tbh, what I saw was crazy unbecoming of a Supreme Court judge
Wow, all the women calling into C-Span and saying that while they believe that something bad happened to Ford at some point and yet they still think Kavanaugh is what he claims he is.
Well, lately it seems the more awful your are, the better your chances at securing a position in the government.
As long as he kills reproductive rights and continues to make corporations superior to everyone they don't care.
Tbh I can't see how this gets any fucking worse.
Go back to the time right before the Civil War when congressmen beat each other to near death over slavery.
I thought the same at the start of Trump's term and here we are.
I mean when you think about how the president acts now its hardly surprising a similar lowering of standards would also affect other positions.
Easy, full GOP control of the country.
Why? It's just starting to get interesting. There's a false consensus about what this country stands for that is now being aired out. This is how change happens.
this
I can only hope things can move forward and don't just sit in chaotic bullshit-mode like they are currently until I die.
never ever forever never
There's no words to describe the criminal dishonesty of the GOP and how fucked the US political landscape is. Theses are adults leading a country, acting like school bullies. Just scream and lie until you get what you want.
What's the question now instead of slavery or civil rights, is it Trump style politics or the actions of conservatives ever since the Republican Revolution?
I'm always reminded of MLK's letter from Birmingham Jail when seeing enablers in power and those who vote for them
First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.
I'm sorry, it seems like you have no idea what it's like for real victims to go through such a trauma. Especially in decades past.
And then you have people reporting their rape and their community rejects them and disbelieves them.

It's not as simple as reporting a stolen phone, for fuck's sakes.
FYI it was only in 1980 that Canada recognized that husbands could rape their wives; before then, consent was assumed by virtue of being married. I don't know exactly when America's rape shield law went into effect but it can't have been that much earlier, if it was even before 1980.
I think people's point is that fear of flying is potentiated (as in made worse by) the addition of knowing that, when she lands, she's going to be subjected to a gruelling, internationally televised cross-examination, whereas a holiday flight is something that's easier to put oneself through because there's an expectation of a positive thing at the end of it.
The criminalization of marital rape in the United States started in the mid-1970s and by 1993 marital rape was a crime in all 50 states, under at least one section of the sexual offense codes.
People like to meme about your masturbation post but this right here highlights just how much of a vile steaming pile of waste you really are all the way within that beating used condom of a heart.
The shame you feel when you have been raped is a mind-numbing dread you cannot even begin to comprehend. Even worse is it is a dread that is very often well placed. People WILL see you differently, either as damaged goods or a lying whore.
It's a million times worse when the predator is high-profile. She said she was terrified of the shame and harassment she would bring upon herself and her family, and incidentally her fears where entirely founded as her and her family have had to leave their homes and be issued security.
Go fuck yourself.
Sincerly, me.

Manchin better not
Polls showed that voting for Brett makes Manchin a fair bit more likely to lose the election.
Im talking about how the GOP is doing nothing but aggress the victim, shift the blame, play the victim, threaten, scream. They don't care about the truth, they have no backbone, otherwise an investigation would already be started. It's a fucking disgrace and EXACTLY why victims don't report rape.
Honestly just bring in Barrett at this point. She was a better nominee anyway.
