No new deets but here is a proper article on that meeting, where Kavanaugh's fate is being decided right now https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/09/27/politics/senators-meet-brett-kavanaugh-supreme-court/index.html?__twitter_impression=true
Ok here is a fact: Kavanaugh refuses to allow the FBI to investigate this.
And he won't even give a straight answer as to why.

You're probably being flamed because you have no fucking tact. "Put on your big girl panties and go to the cops," is not how you talk to a fucking sexual assault victim, dude, and that kind of dismissive condescending attitude is why they don't report it.
No, I'm flaming you because you're acting like reporting your own rape is just some thing you gotta stop being a crybaby little bitch about (and then implying they aren't real victims at the end of your post)
Trump could total a car and claim to be the best driver, simply the best.
I guarantee you IF the Senate doesn't vote for him. We are going get a tweet saying "I never liked the guy to began with"
If Democrats get control of a chamber they better investigate Brett confirmed or no.
Okay, so let's say you've just been raped. Your self-esteem has been thrown out the window and your personal safety and security have been shattered by aggressive buttfucking. You're feeling weak and vulnerable, and if you live in a community that emphasizes marriage before sex, you may be feeling like you are a wasted, tainted person who can never be loved because you've been used before you got married. Merely volunteering this information to one of your most trusted friends is going to be one of the most difficult things you will ever do, admitting that you were violated and abused. You're acting like it's as bad as being called "faggot" on the Internet. If you truly want to stand up for rape victims you'll understand that there's an oppressive culture of silence because the world is not the open warm supportive community that would facilitate an easier reporting of said rape. It has only been in the last few years that the dominant societial narrative has shifted away from "she probably deserved it" to "punish rapists". You cannot tell me that you advocate for rape victims by expecting them to be as at ease with reporting their victimization as you would be at ease with reporting a toothache to your dentist. Yes, victims should speak out and responsibly report their rapes, and it'd be really great if we lived in a society where victims could freely speak out and be supported, but attempting to order any kind of timeline demonstrates that you in fact have no fucking clue and no fucking concept of empathy with regards to this situation.
Even if they knew confirming Brett would strengthen the blue wave they'll still do it, too important for them, Brett will lead a conservative majority to reduce reproductive rights, civil rights, and make corporate rights stronger then in decades.
Ive literally seen rape victims driven out of their friendship circles because their mates liked the rapist more. And then face difficulty finding new friends because they have a reputation as an attention seeking liar. Just imagine how much worse it would feel if your attacker went on to be even remotely influential.
You are purposefully mincing peoples words to make them to bad guy. Go crawl back into whatever dark, smiley hole you crawled out of.

hey dude just a heads-up your criticism of victims and the way they process the trauma of rape doesn't mean fucking shit. "put your big girl panties on" is all it took for me to know you're talking out of your ass with no respect to anyone who has gone through sexual assault trauma. there are supportive friends, family, support groups, programs, there are resources. they don't magically make it easier to face your abuser, especially when there is a power dynamic at play.
now you're projecting this "sloppy progress" onto people and disowning the rest of your posts on this topic.
No YOU are completely ridiculous. Why don't you shut your fucking hole for a god damn second and actually try and figure out WHY someone might not come out with this information. Women are constantly being disregarded, shunned or even driven away, after claiming that they've been raped, so of fucking course they are terrified to say anything. In this particular case, she may now only be coming forward because she would rather be an outcast than to simply allow her rapist to became a Supreme Court Justice. You are right, we should encourage and help victims of rape, but guess what. WE DON'T. As a society we do exactly the opposite, it's fucking awful, but it's the truth.
Again, you're making the incorrect assumption he's capable of empathy. Realizing that rape is bad is basic human decency, which he at least (somewhat) has. Understanding why people don't report rape is empathy.
you need to get off the internet
Just feeling pretty sad after the testimony, no matter what happens the integrity of the courts and the rule of law lose after this. Plus partisanhip got that much more pervasive
dude, you are completely failing to grasp why it's difficult for these people to come forward, and just how much rape victims are risking by making allegations. people love to talk up the idea that making a false accusation can ruin a dude's life, but fail to see that it's exactly the same situation for a woman coming forward with a genuine accusation- the moment she opens her mouth there's going to be sizeable group of people who will decide she's just another lying whore looking for attention/political points/what the fuck ever. no matter what happens next, no matter the outcome, she's just painted a giant target on her own back. Imagine having to go through something so traumatic, and then having to decide if it's worth putting your entire reputation, career, maybe even your life, on the line, to have to publicly talk about one of the most humiliating, dehumanising things that could possibly happen to a person over and over, to even attempt to get something done about it. Imagine if you risked all of that shit, and then the dude got the Brock Turner treatment and essentially got a slap on the wrist. I too think victims should come forward immediately, but I understand why they don't.
There's a difference between "help and encouragement" and "put on your big girl panties. what's with this waiting 10-20 years bullshit, it's an insult to real victims. also you'll need a lot of help I guess"
And you know what Jouska, you are a fucking Cunt. You are unfathomably fucking stupid, and I fucking hate you. I'm so fucking pissed off now. I'm out.
You are accused of sexual assault and rape. What do you say in your defense? You know I really like beer. My favorite type of beer is beer. I remember this one time I drank beer and maybe had a bit to much beer.
the US government is a complete farce
The thing is that this isn't just about sexual assault. This isn't just about believing the accuser or the accused. This is about abusers of all sorts and the enablers being placed in positions where they can make a system that is even less reliable for the vulnerable and smooth as butter for anyone with old power. Those like Brett wish no one in power to ever be in the wrong. No police officer who murders an unarmed person or blackmails people will ever face justice under these sort. No holy man who abuses those who look up to them will ever face justice. No politicians or businessman who're responsible for ill being done onto common people will ever face justice. No one of old power will face justice and those who enable them will never be removed from power. They can be though. It requires a system that works to protect the vulnerable and down trodden. It requires stewardship by people who look to make a better world for everyone, not just themselves and anyone who thinks the same as them. It requires voting out abusers and enablers. It requires voting in those who can be trusted to lower suffering of the vulnerable. I know I'm just bleating on a forum on a Thursday night about the sorrows that trouble my mind and many others. Yet there's a dream many have to live a world better than the one they entered. Maybe I'll see such a world but I know dreams require work to become reality. At the least I know it's the right idea to vote in one's interest and to do the best one can for the world around as well as beyond my life.
Because the rich benefit from that.
This sort of attitude is a big part of why rape victims are discouraged from reporting their rape. You are acting like so long as you try to spread this attitude to "normal" people and rape victims don't hear it from your mouth you aren't effecting them (nevermind that a victim has posted in this very thread) You are completely discounting the fact that this post and the countless other like it all coalesce into a general attitude that does in fact effect victims. It's made even worse by the fact that people like you assume that anywhere you post will never be visited by a rape victim, and perhaps that is likely true for the individual but it all adds up.
The political divide merging with the gender divide is pretty disturbing.
They're going to vote. https://twitter.com/AP/status/1045466288410284033
