Roberts will vote against Trump, he's conservative but he cares about the institution of the court, people would riot if they protect the orange.
At that point someone should shoot him. If you can't lawfully get rid of someone this dangerous, you have to kill them. I don't wanna say it, but that's where it looks like it's heading. If these fuckers wanna destroy and take everything with them for their Kremlin friends, they should be shown the same methods we've used on traitors in the past: a bullet.
I'm beginning to become afraid that that's exactly what they want.
Yeah, I know. I've just never felt more helpless and stressed than I do now.
Then what are you doing here?
I'm sure the best way to get people to listen to you is to be the biggest condescending ass possible.
The next Democrat could just intimidate Brett and the other conservatives by threatening to pack the court. FDR's plan failed but it did get some justices to retire or be friendlier to New Deal legislation.
Advocating murder is not the way to deal with politics.
In fairness, however, if in fact what they're angling for is people rioting then that means that they're no longer afraid of the people. A government that is not afraid of its people is an exceedingly dangerous government.
Not the biggest Cory Booker fan, but he is laying it down right now. Quite respectable.
"Maybe the 2nd amendment people can do something about it."
Riots and massive protests are one thing. He outright advocated murder in his post.
I'm aware. I'm saying that if they are desiring and baiting riots and massive protests to enable them to do things such as, say, declare martial law then, in fact, that is the exact moment where 'those second amendment people' should be doing something. When the government turns its fangs on the people it is sworn to protect, that government is one that will not stop biting until it is beaten into submission or dies from biting itself.
Not normally, but this is far from normal. Republicans are actively destroying rule of law in an effort to consolidate power. Between Kavanaugh and Trump they've made it clear that following party line is more important to them than following the law. They have no intention of playing by rules and no interest in the concerns of people who do. I'm not personally advocating for Kavanaugh's death, but if someone kills him or Trump they will have performed a public service.
if this administration has shown anything, it's that the ones in power make the rules. honestly i wouldn't be surprised if the whole idea of the court is completely trashed within the next ten years
If that's advocating murder, then Trump advocated for the murder of Clinton on the campaign trail with his vague implication of "second amendment people".
Everything he said about the evidence pointing towards probability is correct. His emotional appeal was to put away any partisan differences people might try to put on him.
Yeah Trump was vague with allusion and implication. MissingNoGuy55 was not being vague.
So vagueness is all that you care of in that respect? So long as the president 'vaguely' suggests that those who oppose him be drug out into the streets and shot 'for the good of America because they are the Enemy of America' then that's fine?
A YouTube comment about Kavanaugh: They treated him the way they treated Adolfus Hitler, Dr. D. E. Duke, King Charles 1665, George Lincoln Rockwell, Benito Musolini, King George III, King Louis XVI, Czar 1918, Tsar 1881 and Theodore Alexander Vegh January 10, 1994 (attempted murder of a white male by a black male). It looks like a lot of the testimony videos, have been raided by right wingers... unsuprisingly, I suppose.
I'm sure a large chunk are connecting from Russia.
who the hell is Adolfus
I mean it doesn't have to be that way. I pretty sure that the seed of doubt and disinformation has already been sown into the American public. At this point, I think foreign bots or agents are only going to be used to quickly fan the flames before letting the polarized people take over.
I said "at that point", where the law doesn't matter any more, should people do that. Doing anything like that now would just cause chaos. And good lord, don't compare me to Trump please. "Just as shitty as the president". I'm pretty sure I don't actively screw people over or work with hostile foreign entities.
Are you saying it's okay for MissingNoGuy55 to openly advocate the murder of a politician because the President vaguely did the same thing? Seriously, what the fuck?
I'm saying that that's what Trump has set the national discourse to. You can't really hold it against people when the President himself is basically calling on his 'enemies' to die at the hands of those who support him. He only gets away with it because he's the President. He should be held to a higher standard -- but you're holding a poster to a higher standard than him by stating that it's less OK that said poster stated it than Trump stated it, especially when you go 'what the fuck'. No. No, it isn't.
could be that i don't live in america i dunno man.
That was my mistake for not reading it clearly, I apologize. Though I really don't think we ought to start an armed insurrection until it becomes illegal to elect the opposition to power in the future. The GOP may fuck up the laws right now, but there is still the opportunity and ability for the Dems to gain office and fix it. When it becomes unfixable is when alternative means of action should be taken.
You will never be fine with it then. It will never be 'illegal' to do so because it will always be held behind vagaries and red tape. 'Sorry, you don't have a Trump ID. Remember, to gain one you have to sign up for voluntary military service if you're not a registered Republican'. It will never be outright illegal; that's what the GOP has shown us. It will always be bent and warped into impossibility through red tape and disqualifications that 'don't impact the majority of Americans'. For instance, see how prisoners don't get to vote.
