Oh you're absolutely in the right, I was just suggesting you don't bother wasting your time responding to him, is all.
Some of the people like him do eventually come to their senses and realise that this shit just isn't funny, but the vast majority are lost causes who revel in the suffering of others; despite typically suffering in various ways, themselves.
Regardless, I have never seen someone such as him take anything away from the responses from others asides from satisfaction that they're pissing people off, so why use any of your intrinsically more valuable time on someone like him?
While I doubt they could have conceived of the population difference being as much as it is now, the rural midwest, appalachia, and south is goddamn rough and they feel truly abandoned by the country.
They didn't get any better after 2008 and in despair became conned into an abusive semi cult, it's sad.
I might be preaching to the choir, but
If you're feeling helpless right now and are unsure of what to do, signing up for this site is a great place to start. The only way they truly win is if we decide to give up. Take some time to decompress, then figure out how to help mobilize for November.

This might seem weird or dopey, but I want to give a quick S/O to @Sitkero and @Firgof Umbra for what I feel has been superior displays of citizenship these past couple of days. Both have been absolutely cordial and articulate in their discussions this previous week -- especially Sitkero who has been non-stop posting full and insightful posts for the last couple of months. It might not mean much from a rando on the internet, but I consider your posts to be "the standard" when it comes to discussing politics. I'd encourage everyone to flip through a couple of their posts.
We're going to have to do the same thing we did to get out of the first Gilded Age.
Educated people are now the enemy in the United States. Ess Jay Dubba Yoos are the real problem. Not the criminals robbing people blind.
Get lucky and hope that the vice president is a closet democrat and that the president dies?
There is never any guarantee of this. I'm sure citizens under Romulus would have thought the same if they had the internet.
There's nothing that makes America sacred, or which guarantees that the US will "get through this charade".
They really should have gone after his record and his prior rulings that blatantly violate the 4th amendment. The sexual assault allegations can't really be proven and I think might hurt the democrats in the long run. I was reading an article out that says this scandal has roused the GOP's base and probably has damaged the chances the democrats will have had to get the house.
Republicans wouldn't have cared. They were clearly going to jam him through regardless. The only strategy was to try and get the public outcry to be too large for the Republicans to handle, and a lot of people can't even tell you what a couple of amendments even are, let alone get outraged over it.
As for the effect it has had on midterms, there's no way that Republican energy isn't offset by Democratic outrage. I predict what little energy Republicans have gain from this will sputter out in a month and Democrats will still be furious(women especially.) Of course, this is speculation on my part, so we'll have to see.
Well, I'm just afraid all this publicity has roused the republicans as much if not more than the democrats. Democrat enthusiasm was already at a very high point, ut not republican enthusiasm is at a similar level now. It doesn't seem to have widened the gap at all, only shrank it. I think this was a serious misstep for the democrats, but we will see if the midterms reflect this or not.
How are you going to blame people for going numb when it's just an onslaught of news about all of the horrible things politicians are doing yet Trump continues to get win after win?
He only seems invincible because the GOP has control of both house and senate.
Not enough money to do that and go to college.
These type of posts always bother me. What if you can't move out of america because of a list of reasons and factors? "Suck for you. People living in better countries will support your resistance by living comfortably and telling how terrible your country is to motivate you into fixing your own." ? Just seems so arrogant and flat. Thanks for the warning I guess.
I want to. I've had an interest in emigrating for years, but this is the last straw. I'm doing some deep research into a few countries to try and come to a decision. Then I'll start learning the language (if necessary) and work towards a career in high demand in the place I choose. I have a few ideas, but need to actually make a fully informed decision. That's the plan. It will be a long process of course, but this is now my long term life goal. If things somehow turn around in the next couple years it's possible I could stay, but I'm not gonna rely on that. There's a very real possibility things could go Turkey in the coming years, and I'd rather not be here for that.
My nearest swing district isn't even in my state. Sigh.
I live in one but 538 says it's a 98% chance of the incumbent winning. The D candidate only having lived in this state for two years doesn't help
Basically hope that when the repubs run again they'll appease the rioting masses with a really left wing vice president, then just hope that the president then dies and the vice president starts to heavily bust them trusts.
There is no indication or reason to think that will change anytime soon.
3/4 chance Dems take the House, Senate's not very good but the ACA will be safe and they can subpoena Mark Judge and others
Go vote
Not entirely sure if you meant in the past or right now, but currently the furthest eastern european states (baltic states) are not Russian puppets.
I hope you meant in the past.
Trump says China’s Xi is “president for life” — and maybe Americ..
If you decide to come to Milan I'll be your friend and help you out
A. I just finished registering to vote and turns out my station is a fucking 1 minute walk.
B. Anyone is Ireland want a guy who can cook?
Oaf is the dude who's been rating news stories about alt-right and Nazi bullshit winner since he joined way back in June. He typically stays away from the polidicks section because it got pretty hostile towards him, but it was never in doubt why he's so fond of Trump. Degenerates of a feather and all that.
