https://vote.gov/ Official US Federal government voting website. Though all voting registrations, tabulations, etc. are handled at the state level, this is maintained to point you to the correct resources based on where you live. Some states keep you registered. Some do not. Make sure to check.
You should be fine, but if you want to check, you can have a look here: https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/
According to this live poll, it doesn't look like this Taylor things has much of an impact as far as I can tell. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/upshot/elections-poll-tnsen-2.html 17 point difference ooooof
Seems like a big outlier since polls were showing anywhere from Bredesen up 2 to Blackburn up 5 previously. Or partisanship is kicking in late in the campaigns as suggested by 538's Nate Silver.
Nah, if I don't like any of the parties you can get lost if you expect me to vote for any of them. abstaining from voting is an important right.
Nobody says you have to vote for anyone. That isnt the point. The point is to vote, if you dont want to vote for anyone you can throw an invalid vote in. Thats what happens here. It also provides a good statistic on unhappy voters when invalid votes spike, and the voter turnout is still good.
Then spoil your ballot. But fucking show up
Did you read Nietzsche for the first time and consider yourself "woked"?
BTW how fucked is it that you have to register to vote in the US instead of everyone automatically being registered? Like what the fuck kinda system even is that?
A system which benefits the Republican party, we have same day registration in Minnesota and have the highest turnout in the nation. Yet certain individuals will have you believe that this causes chaos when proof exists that it doesn't They've been trying to kill it a while now with Voter ID laws claiming the potential for fraud, yet deep south states that have them aren't any more secure from fraud.
When I heard for the first time most other countries don't have vote registration I got even more annoyed with the concept of it. Here in the Philippines we also need to register for voting, and on top of that it's with a choice between paper manual one or electronic one, which is a toss up too since it's inconsistent in areas whether they'd be holding up both, or just one or the either between election cycles. It took me 3 years before my registration was approved too, which meant I couldn't even vote in the same year of the election cycle when I first registered, and this was months before the election too.
there's a pretty great youtube channel the details how to vote in every single state https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7SMwipBlDwBPEwxq8QD8sw/featured
