Correction: I fucked up with my mother's age. I can never remember how old she is ("rude" to ask a woman her age) but I just remembered that I was born when she was 20 and that was in '87, so she was born in '67.
its also a mistake to think the 60s counterculture represented all of the boomers, it was just a small percentage of that generation that went out and lived that lifestyle, a lot of them were either too young, or just went about their lives.
