Ted Cruz's wife says she has to work a 70-hour week to support her family

I can't fathom this. Is one house not enough for you? Why do you need a second one?
hmm seems like a certain fiscally conservative family that wants to see others punished for living beyond their means is claiming they're living beyond their means.
Man, I wish I knew the pain of not being able to buy a second house by the end of this year while making well over 300k a year. I'll have to really think on it and consider how privileged I am that I'm not struggling to support my family with that meager funding, while I scrape by with nearly no money at the end of this month to save.
Fuck Ted Cruz, his wife, and America as a country. Poor them, can't buy a second house this year, maybe next year then.
It's a damn embarrassment that I and pretty much everyone I know in real life around me can barely make enough to live in a place we do not own, and don't have the time to educate for a better job to start saving. It's a damn rat trap and for most people around me, there is no escape.
This reminds me of when Romney was running for president and trying to appeal to the lower income people and his wife said " yeah we have money struggles as well, we only have two cars in our house" or something like that
It just blows my mind how disconnected the rich are sometimes
Does Ted Cruz keep all the money he makes for himself lmao what the fuck
Two cars is not that many to be honest, it's about what you expect for a middle class family, not even upper middle class.
Also, its not really weird to have more than two cars. BUT we are not talking brand new cars. Or even slightly used. We are talking sub-5000 cars. My parents own 5, but only two could be considered "decent" and even they are 10+ years old.
I honstly don't know what the fuck someone could spend $500k on every year, even taking into account taxes, and still inexplicably struggle to make ends meet. If I made that much I'd almost certainly have trouble even spending it all.
You guys don't know how expensive it is to lose a presidency is do ya?
Ignoring financial investments, second homes are good for traveling between seasons if the summers/winters are bad. Depending on your job if you are flying back and forth between two locations (ex. Washington DC and Texas) a second home saves you in the long run from throwing away money at temporary housing.
That said, its really callous of her to be complaining considering her husband is a public servant.
God poor Teddy boy must be really hurting after that loss to big Bear Trump
His wife's boyfriend can help with that at least
Never understood why they are so fixated on not paying their fair share of taxes when the rich are literally those who could afford it the most.
500/mo is still half of what I make in two weeks.
That leaves very little for other expenses.
Renter's insurance, dental, vision, health, car, food, water, electricity
Nevertheless, assuming an annual income as a household of $474,000 from
their salaries alone, the Cruz family would still be in the top 0.7% of American earners.
I think they will be fine
Im surprised that 500k puts you in the 1%, I was expecting it to be at least a million
Only two bugatti veyrons i mean come on Guise WhAtS The BiG DeAL
Sushi dinner every night.
Even if she alone, ate 30 dollar sushi by herself every night, it would only add up to around 11 grand a year. 44 grand a year if both her husband and two (hypothetical) kids did it too under her budget. Which considering how much money her home is pulling in, is still not enough to really matter.
Would be fucking crazy if that were the case though, near 10% of your income yearly on sushi. Don't know if she has kids.
I expected nothing less from the spouse of the Zodiac Killer.
