Huh. Might be because I cannot see the full device, but even for ISIS that would be a fucking joke. This looks like something that someone built after reading that one Spec Ops manual released by Paladin Press at Gunshows.
why would you take close up photos of a live explosive device
The bomber now has the moniker of "MAGAbomber"
I give it 3 days before he backtracks on the 'unity' stuff and implies it was a false flag on twitter.
I'm inclined to agree with you, but how the fuck do you compromise and come together with a party that refuses to do so?
Obama gave the Republicans oluve branch after olive branch, and they smacked it out of his hand each time.
Trump was squeezed into office after losing the popular vote by the largest margin in US history, and they have done absolutely nothing but attack, marginalize, and ignore the Democrats.
And as opposed to adjusting their platform during the midterms, they've been clamping down and suppressing votes so they can rule over the unwilling like a king.
How the fuck do you see eye to eye with a group of people that would really just prefer it if you died?
The device is eerily similar to the ones found in books that are sold at gunshows. I might just be oveerlooking things though.
eh, looks like a generic pipebomb, something anyone could make if they understand the basics of explosives
Fucker can send bombs through the mail but I can't send my dad a coke bottle with his name on it
And one them is look little similar of L4D's pipebomb without count out timer.
First it's attacks and death for left wing civilians, now bombs are being sent to left wing participants and politicians.
This is what vivifying one side, I.E "THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE DEVIL" and the spreading of extreme right wing propaganda has done to America, it can only really get worse from here on I think.
Called for Unity. I give it less than 24 hours before he starts saying it was the democrats trying to make the GoP look bad, not realizing nobody has to do anything to do that
The Trump Administration and their endorsement of Fox News propaganda is directly responsible for brewing the hate fueling this domestic terrorism. Vote November 6th or else this will be the norm for the rest of our lives.

So while trump was able to read a script earlier, he's going to a rally later today in Wisconsin I think. That's the speech, and the following few, everyone should listen to. Those will be his true thoughts
Even though Obummer is gone the Libcucks are still trying to impose their Zionist Martial Law Agenda, DRAIN THE SWAMP! Where is the UN building located? That’s right snowflakes, NEW YORK, It makes perfect sense, open your eyes.
So much for the tolerant right, or something.
This is going to be a long vaguely coherent rant. Directed at no particular person or party.
We got to start at the community level. The politicians feed off unrest because the more you fear the more you're controllable. They want you to think these are dark times, that you can't leave your house without getting attacked by your fellow man for who or what you are. We overexpose niche examples as the norm. Gotta take your shoes off at the airport because they might have bombs. Got to get patted down at school because you might have a gun. Got to keep your hands on the wheel because the cop might shoot you. Got to have concrete barricades around the concert because someone might drive a truck into it. You need to be afraid of people. Certainly bad things happen but singular or insignificant events are magnified by people with controlling interest to make us hate each other. Fear drives ratings, ratings drive donations, donations (money) drives power. Conservatives like to rail on George Soros but ignore the Koch Brothers. They don't realize they're pawns in the same game. Politicians have no incentive to encourage us to want cooperation because having a scared and paranoid population fills their pockets. It makes it easier to -as you said- reap more control. Yes, even the Democratic politicians. They exploit this shit, too. So fuck those guys. We need to start at the bottom. At the end of the day, we're all Americans and we really all just want the same thing. We're conditioned to toss our hat into the rings were told to toss them in, but deep down we all want the same things. The media we're exposed to in a 24/7 is unapologetically biased. It's designed to trap you in. We need to examine how our society has gotten here in the first place:
You were born in a Conservative household 10-30 years ago? You're concerned about your gun rights? You're concerned about fiscal policy? You're concerned about your religion and where it stands in the future? It's Fox News and AM talk radio for you. And then the internet matures and it's blogs! Where some random suave idiot can say anything they want. then they take these otherwise reasonable values and chip at them. chip chip chip. CNN had a guy on who sounded knowledgeable about this and that. That makes sense... I never saw it that way... how could those people do that? Hey Bill O'Reilly on Fox News had this real interesting guy on... how could those people want to erode my rights. Now Bill O'Reilly is gone and he's replaced by Tucker Carlson. How dare those people say that! How dare those... liberals want socialism. Those fucking liberals!
You were born in a Liberal household 10-30 years ago? You're concerned about wealth inequality? You're concerned about civil rights? You're concerned about inner-city education? It's NBC and NPR for you. Hey Vox had this real interesting guy on... how could those people want to erode my rights. Did you see Rachel Maddow yesterday? How dare those people say that! How dare those... conservatives want fascism! Those fucking conservatives!
(Disclaimer(Because one of you will say "But OvB the two aren't comparable because conservatives are more-wrong): this isn't to compare the quality or bias of media sources, or right/wrong-ness of opinions. Fox and notorious conservative blogs are obviously a bigger wedge in the crack of American unity but we shouldn't ignore that the other guys feed off and incite distrust and misinformation, too. The degradation of Media quality happened concurrently over a period of decades.)
The above bit is an embellished and oversimplified display of how we got here. The profitability of a 24/7 prime time news feed has driven the explosive growth of Op-Ed style programming that looks more like ESPN than the news. We're inundated with online news sites and blogs where in some cases anything goes. The national narrative is controlled by the person who gets the headline out first. Which today is the click of a button or a BREAKING NEWS banner away. New's articles get it wrong all the time. Some scientific thing wrong, some guy said this but it actually wasn't him. The shooter was this person but it actually wasn't. Opps. The correction gets 60 seconds at the end of the show while the Breaking News about it gets 3 hours and 5 speculating unqualified commentators. People take to Twitter and make a #ThatThing and everyone gets pissed about it. The people tweeting the correction get flooded out. The misinformation continues. The Narrative is set. Not one of news information accuracy. But one of ratings and money. Doesn't matter to them. Sean Hannity makes $36,000,000 a year. Doesn't matter to him. Lester Holt makes his $4,500,000. Doesn't matter to him. Matt Lauer made his $25,000,000 a year. Doesn't matter to him. Bill O'Reilly made his $29,000,000 a year. Doesn't. Matter. To. Them. We bitch about the rich elite, but forget they're the ones conditioning us every afternoon. Further are the even more wealthy media giants that control the direction these personalities lead us.
This idea that the news sucks and media has a lot of control on how society thinks will not be foreign here. I think this is something most people agree on. So how does this help? How do we see eye to eye with the other guys? Here's the thing. You probably already do. National paranoia increases when we are led to believe that the others are out to get you. The Media makes money off you being glued to them. They glue you to themselves with fear. Breaking News: A school was shot up somewhere but first a (longer than usual) commercial break! It's okay and encouraged to consume the news to stay informed but they're not giving you 24/7 coverage of that thing for your sake. So turn it off. You need maybe 20 minutes of news a day. The rest is bullshit to make money. Turn it off. Turn CNN off. Turn Fox News off. Close your HuffPo and RedState tabs. Go to your local Wal-Mart and say Hi to someone. Strike up a conversation with a person. Hold the door for someone. Help someone load their groceries. The reason we are here is because we spend more time consuming media than listening to each other. We will always have disagreements. Conservatives and Liberals will never fully agree. We will have heated debates about abortions and guns and taxes and welfare. But the reason it's gotten This Bad where we're nearly killing each other is because we lost our humanity towards each other. It's easy to get pissed off at those fucking stupid conservatives/liberals and their stupid fucking beliefs but we have to consider, are those stupid fucking beliefs actually theirs? Do they reeeaaally think that? Or did the TV man just rile them up over it? I mean like the average person living in Butte, Montana or Whispering Pines, Florida, or Conroe, Texas? A group of humans, if born into a vacuum, will work together. We fight because we are told to do so. Religion, Politics, fuckin' sports, it's all a means to control a population. This becomes most evident in disaster. The TV's are off, the compassion is on. Not always, but in my experience. There's always that one asshole who loots shit or sells gas too high, but his shit isn't (locally) put on the TV as the societal norm. He's not made an example of who everyone is and who you should fear. Everyone glares at him and gets back to work. In disaster humans work together despite differences. So it's doable in society if we remove from our life that what drives it. It's the Polder Model. We have differences but we have to work together despite them.
I'm not saying ignore the issues, or don't call people out on their bad racist hateful shit. We should always do that. Always be an informed voice. But question everything and don't let yourself get excited and enthralled by what they say. Even if it tickles the "Yeah! fuck that guy!" nerve deep inside you. Recognize that a society as deep and colorful as the United States will have a wide range of opinions. The United States will always have white supremacists, Nazis, Klan-sympathizers, Antifa streetfighters, communist sympathizers, people who like anime, ISIS sympathizers, holocaust deniers, religious extremists, homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes, and everything else. If we can fight these ideas into the fringe and just have like 324 million people who agree to disagree on whether guns are cool, or that taxes are too high/low, that would be fine. And the reality is, we're probably fairly close to that. Your average conservative man who parrots some borderline racist thing he heard on TV probably doesn't actually feel that way, he wouldn't go lynch a Honduran without being told to do so. Likewise your average liberal mom prooobably isn't cheering on Antifa like Fox wants their viewers to believe. We are made to feel this way and if we remove that influence from our lives we may find our way back to love for our neighbors. The Media has convinced us that everyone is the worst-form extreme of their ideological flavor. That guys a muslim? He's probably a terrorist. That woman collects guns? What's her plan? That kid lonely? Future school-shooter. That guy wearing a MAGA hat? Probably a Racist.
That's the first step. Get back on an agreement that we're all just Americans trying to figure this shit out. We let the sensational stuff go too far. We need to step back. People will still deny climate change, think abortion is immoral, or want universal healthcare, or any other common hot-button issue. But as it is right now? We still got all that shit plus the added vitriol that has been placed in our hearts. That needs to go. If we can make a real effort towards that then reasonable politicians will eventually follow after a few voting cycles. The politicians we have now didn't materialize there. It's the media-driven hatred that gives movements like the Tea Party and the Alt-Right a platform. This allowed politicians to exploit that fear and anger to gain control. To get back to equilibrium we need to cut off the fuel.
Perhaps this rant is too ripe with kumbaya bullshit. But I really don't see this going away with Democratic votes alone. Impeaching Trump or electing Beto O'Rourke (Things we should strive for, still) isn't going to make the right go away or say "aghast! It is I, who is wrong!" It's going to piss them off more. It's going to make more headlines. More talking points. More violence. Likewise if Conservatives manage to wrestle more control of the country there will be more liberal unrest. To me, more important than anything, is how do we solve that? How do we make it so Americans see a loss at the polls as "well better luck next time!" and not "bring out the pitchforks!" The only thing I can think of is we got to try to be neighbors again. We have to try. We got to stop name-calling and degrading and minimizing. We got to stop hearing the instigators and start listening to each other. Between this Media-Corporatocracy and Climate Change, and Economic disparity, this whole fucking planet is cruising towards disaster. A Civil War right now in the US would be the fastest way to ensure that disaster. We have to deescalate this. We have to.
I speak to these things with certainty because I've witnessed them first hand. It didn't come out of nowhere. It was a slow bleed over two decades or so. Limiting yourself to one feed of information is the first nail in the coffin. Over 18 or so years of being a coherent human I've watched as family members turned from normal people who maybe watched the Today Show in the morning and the Nightly News in the afternoon, and slowly but surely as time went on, consumed more and more. It became Fox News in the afternoon. Then Fox News in the mornings and Afternoon, and then Fox News all day. And then Fox News all day plus Talk Radio in the car. Then Fox News all day and Talk Radio while watching. And now the internet with god knows what. It's a brain washing machine. and it is the reason for the state of the country.
Orwell had it right with the Two Minutes Hate.
(phew, this autocrops/snips)
I agree with you that we've gotta do a lotta work to rebuild our society and democracy, because as much as I want to see us become what we idolize ourselves to be, I genuinely fear we're going to become the worst shadow of ourselves as a country. That's something that I both dread personally (for various reasons) and as someone who cares very much about the planet as a whole.
An unhinged, off-the-rails USA is not something that any sane person or nation-state wants or needs right now.
Explosive device sent to CNN featured parody ISIS flag, 'Get Er ..
This is what happens when you give the average person the ability to speak to the whole world.
