Could an omnipotent God create a politician so transparently malicious that brainlet lemmings wouldn't gleefully throw out their own rights for them?
https://twitter.com/CBCAlerts/status/1056692366470471682 WTF???
Who cares if he said he'd murder his own son if he'd turn out gay, there's money to be made.
Capitalists fucking love fascists dude. It's basically a free pass to treat workers like shit, pay them next to nothing, and ravage the environment. Who's going to stop them so long as they're greasing the right palms?
He already tried Duterte and Trump, and now this cunt. People not recovering from 2008 + weak left wing + strongman = fascism.
South Africa and India would be the only remaining BRICs that aren't self-avowed facist shitholes, is that correct?
Those that look for bones are dogs. - Poster against relatives of people forcibly disappeared during the military dictatorship. holy shit
ahahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
who paid for this????
It was nice having the Amazon forest. Unfortunately, with this man's election, it will likely be reduced to a smoldering pile of ashes within the next 8 years.
Cows are vastly superior to people. They are mostly docile, for one. They also provide milk. They also don't use Whatsapp to organise lynchings of people who may have disrespected a cow once. I can understand why ppl would want 2 fuck them
Unless he's shot, fascist quasi dictatorships may invite that sort of thing
ain't much stopping a military coup d'etat if this guy is shot, it seems to me
This is where neoliberalism leads. Every....Goddamn...time. We need a radical change to society, not just bandaid regulations or fencesittingprogressives, we need to dismantle the military industrial complex, break corporate power, educate our people and make our workplaces democratic. If we dont both our politics and enviorment will die. You wanna blame russsia...fine...Im sure they did some shit, but the anger they harnessed is just rage at the capitalist status quo. People hate their lives now and instead of directing that rage at the real cause they have been given scapegoats by opportunistic rightists.
can you elaborate what this specifically has to do with neoliberalism
Corporations controls the entire planet, they have 100 percent of the power, how can it be done?
It gives fascists a platform and creates deep income inequality leading to scapegoating and racism. In a nutshell it is incredibly weak and easy to exploit.
While the corporations are fine after 2008, the common person is not. A decade of austerity and loss of opportunity breeds fascist tones.
Corporations only work because we work for them, we need to break their power. Remember this after facepunch is gone, and after the climate has gone real bad, and after the nationalists control the goverment yet again. Organize, and educate yourself and your neighbors. Dont let yourself be tricked into blaming or scapegoating.
What will get real bad? Why would I need to erase all my stuff?
Climate and economic Crisis is the perfect storm for nationalism, erasing your stuff ensures that the goverment will not come after you. Anyone farther left than mitch mconnel will be targeted if a true facist comes to power.
why are you this certain of a coming total social collapse, as opposed to just degeneration when it comes to personal freedoms?
unironically join a union and organise
Because most of the population lives in costal cities, as well as most of our economic interests and because most of our crops are likely to fail with rising tempatures. Also because of the erosion of democratic institutions around the world, and rising rural vs urban divide. Also cause of antibiotic resistant superplagues etc
Don't know how it is in Australia, but labor rights in this country are fucked. SCOTUS has fucked up dues and even in West Virginia, the state where miners donned bandannas and rifles for their livelihoods, the GOP passed right to work. The Democrats abandoned labor rights because they were tired of losing with liberal candidates, with the Third Way and Bill Clinton they started winning again.. Real shame, I'm passionate about labor rights as well
For now Im gonna continue my course in getting into college and pursue my passions, but I will likely join DSA in the years to come and will always agitate whererever I can.
No point rolling over and taking it, that'll just guarantee the shitheads win. You gotta be in it to win it. And yeah from an outside perspective US labour rights are truly fucked. I have some hope that the wild lurch to the right under Trump and the GOP is reinvigorating a grassroots labour movement in the US though. The success of the Fight for 15 campaign at Amazon is something to be proud of (despite its shortcomings)
I'm starting to think that fascism and reactionary behaviours are inevitable in mis-information-age memetic democracies.
Well, do you think workers had rights and legal statuses to let them organise and unionize back during the industrial revolution? Nope. Didn't stop them from obtaining them eventually, even if it cost some their lives or freedom.
reactionary behaviors really arent that unique to the modern internet era, they were always prevalent in democratic societies. its always easier to vote against someone than to vote for someone.
