• Third bomb en route to CNN as Trump declares media "True Enemy of the People"

Stirring the pot is ez. International politics are not. It can be both ways, especially when you have the sort of back up Trump does.
I almost get the impression that he kinda likes the thought that he can now practically mail-order bombs to his perceived enemies just by making a vague suggestion.
"Oh, will not someone rid me of this meddlesome liberal?"
As for the 'does he know what he's doing?' debate, I get the impression that he knows what he's doing, but he's not fully understanding the effects of it. He knows that CNN wouldn't get weekly letter-bombs if he didn't keep calling them the enemy of the people, but he does not understand how important a free press is for a democracy, and that it's real people's lives he's putting at stake by doing it.
Gotta say good job torpedoing your own party in the elections. Unless he's banking on violence from Dems winning to seize power/declare the elections illegitimate.
If Trump is smart enough to know what he's doing then why has he gone bankrupt in the past on multiple occasions? He's not as healthy as he makes himself out as being, and he's definitely not intelligent enough to be spearheading a massive political conspiracy against the country. He's just the loud, boisterous carny reading a script given to him by the people who actually know what they're doing. If anything, Trump was told to make as many enemies as humanly possible while degrading the liberals and making them out to be incompetent cowards. He's projecting himself on to others while yelling as loud and as frequently as possible because morons love to listen to people who sound authoritative.
See I don't know if he understands that he's causing the letter bombs to be sent. This is the big question of whether Trump believes his own bullshit. I think Trump honestly believes he's doing a great job, and that the media is actually lying about him. I suspect that he truly thinks it's the media's fault that the country is divided, because they're spreading lies and making people not like him. The only understanding of reality that Trump has is whatever one paints him in the best light. I think it boils down to the question of "Is Trump purposely trying to get people killed?", which despite everything he's done, I'm not entirely convinced he is.
Trump occupies a superposition, he doesn't know what he is doing, but he doesn't care; because he's a narcissistic blowhard who's been given keys to the national car. He's the standard archetype personality who talks a big game, stirs the pot, get's situations way too far out of hand, and then when (or if) it blows up in their face, they just deflect blame. You could say he's living in a fantasy world, but people have kept kept handing him money and power throughout his life, so fantasy may as well be reality. Trump is what you get when a selfish person lives their whole life without having faced any consequences for their actions. He doesn't know what he's doing, but that doesn't matter in the slightest to him.
Normally I would say that would be a waste of time, but given Trump's mindset, being told in plain English how he's a fuckup is probably the gravest thing he could ever be told.
Who cares if he knows what he's doing or not, get him the fuck out of the White House
I know for sure that I wouldn't say Trump knows exactly what he's doing. Let's look at his weaknesses: Very patchy understanding/knowledge of our government, to a historic degree. Low self control causes him to not think things over properly, leading to shit like his Russian ties, drama with the press, bad relations with foreign governments, announcing things on twitter before checking them over with his staff. Unwilling to properly engage with the job. Avoids work as much as possible and can barely be bothered to do anything that isn't out of self-interest. Related to the last thing but he just kind of has a terrible personality. He's a jerk, can't come up with his own ideas, and is self-centered to a fault. A guy who wants to sit and watch Fox News all day and eat junk food is never going to be leader material. He's the same as any other half-assed dictator whose policy can be summed up by them acting out of self-interest/defensively. When I say Trump is "dumb" that's what's on my mind. There are some things he does understand like how to trash talk, rile people up, use fear. But if he was honestly in control of everything else he would be way more dangerous.
Even if he doesn't know what he's doing, he should be held accountable as if he does. The man is the president. His words hold weight regardless of intention, and even the biggest fool on earth would know the power of persuasion that his position holds.
>get the Right riled-up >Right gets VERY pumped up and starts doing incredibly stupid shit >the Left retaliate in any way, shape, or form >the Right claims victimhood >repeat
And this is how civil wars start. Please, we need to end this cycle, I think we still have time.
One side has become literal nazis. We can no longer compromise and have reasonable negotiations or common ground. War seems an inevitability.
It's not that he knows what he's doing or that he's too stupid to do anything. It's somewhere closer to the latter than the former but the real issue is that he's fairly dumb and malicious on top of that. He knows what some of the consequences of his actions are but simply doesn't consider them a problem because he doesn't have anything remotely resembling a moral compass and those consequences benefit him. But he also doesn't understand the more overarching effects of his actions because he's got such a short attention span that it'd make a goldfish look focused.
I were american I'd be losing patience somewhat.
Fixed.
