• Tory MP wants to bring back hanging

A chamber in which CO2 is cycled out and oxygen is removed would actually be perfect, as we don't have any way of realising that we have low oxygen. Our breathing reflex is actually triggered by high CO2 levels. A chamber filled with boron or something could possibly work.
That depends on whether you have a referendum on it or not, and whether May decides to rescind from the ECHR (this is not an automatic thing after leaving the EU). Quite a lot of leave voters want it back and given the current political climate in the UK, I'd not rule out the possibility of it returning. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-poll-leave-voters-death-penalty-yougov-results-light-bulbs-a7656791.html
Isn't a proper noose supposed to break the neck instantly and end things pretty much instantly?
Speaking of Japan, i read up a little bit and this bit was a bit shocking; The government regularly monitors support for the death penalty, the last survey in 2015 showing 80.3% of the public believing that the death penalty is "permissible" and 9.7% that it should be abolished. https://web.archive.org/web/20160428021833/http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2015/01/25/national/cabinet-office-poll-80-of-respondents-think-death-penalty-permissible/#.Vwt20KSLTIV
The thing is, I remember when the petitions.gov.uk site hosted a poll to reinstate the death penalty, and then some people made a counter-poll to NOT reinstate the death penalty, which got about 3x as many votes. Yeah, some leave voters, especially the older ones, may very well want a return of it, but I remain confident that it's extremely unlikely.
nitrogen kills you instantly... the issue is that would be too humane for the people who support the death penalty. They want it to be as cruel as possible and that's why we get such inventions like the electric chair, the gas chamber, and firing squads. A simple oxygen mask hooked up to a nitrogen tank is plenty fatal enough. we know from Industrial accidents where people are exposed to pure nitrogen purged atmospheres are almost always instantly fatal. Nobody from the capital punishment crowd calling for it to be used in place of lethal injection though.
I suggest we bring back guillotines instead... though, not sure the Tories would like that.
Not really, you still feel intense pain and people have a tendency to last a while longer after hangings like this since the brain is still operational 2 - 10 minutes after the heart stops beating.
Personally here's my opinion: Bring back hanging Bring back London tower Bring back the power of the monarchy Queen hangs MPs in London Tower Queen recolonizes America Queen recolonizes Afghanistan Queen uses Afghanistan as inroads to colonize Russia and India Queen re-establishes the British empire Cheerio
Where did you get the notes on Boilrig's fridge from?
The mediabox glitch makes everything seem so intense.

"selling goods in pounds and ounces" It's definitely mostly ignorant old people.
Because flourescents and LEDs are more sustainable which connects to environmentalism which connects to those DAMN LEFTIES TELLING ME WHAT TO DO which is part of the obfuscation tactics used by the far right parties that are the whipping boys of corporate giants who have a vested interest in dismantling public support for any kind of environmental consciousness
Jesus it's literally a list of stereotypical gammon opinions. Using imperial for measurements is for the small-brains who can't parse simple maths and like to make things hard for themselves on purpose.
Old people: The poll.
Metric is just tens while I can never remember Imperial fluid divisions, fucking stupid.
i can't believe that leave supporters are all morons! my life is a lie!
Why the Christ would anyone ever want to bring back the shilling?
