Neo Nazi group that funded racist Florida robocalls now targeting Georgia

Georgia’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Oprah Winfrey — who supports Abrams and knocked on voters' doors for her this week — were targeted in a racist
robocall evidently funded by a neo-Nazi group on Friday. The voice on the robocall introduces herself as the “magical negro” Oprah, and calls Abrams a “poor man’s Aunt Jemima,” and a
candidate “white women can be tricked into voting for, especially the fat ones.” The call claims it is paid for by TheRoadToPower.com, which previously funded racist robocalls
against Florida’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.
These people are so childish...
I don't know why, but
"This is magical Negro, Oprah Winfrey."
Got a laugh out of me for how fucking stupid and ridiculous is sounds.
Sounds like something /pol/ would say. Wouldn't at all be surprised if the ones doing this are regulars
Semi-related, has anyone found a recording of the Florida robocall?
Not just childish, it's downright disturbing to attack the self-image of however many women they successfully called in order to convince them to vote against their own self-interests.
"Only fat gullible chicks vote for the let's-not-send-women-back-to-the-1700s party, you're not fat and gullible are you?"
What exactly is winner about this.
Which one? Gillum has been targeted by two.

This is apparently the original source of the story, and it details that the person who they're reporting on, who received the call, decided not to publish it publicly because it was so racist.

It's Feeble Oaf
This is on the site of the person making these
What the what? This is the gibberish of someone who belongs in a psychiatric hospital.
that guy never takes anything about politics seriously
An extremely racist group called "TheRoadToPower" who's primary tactic is to pretend to be a caricatured and dehumanised version of their opponents is trying to get people elected.
I'm sure they'll treat people with the utmost law abiding respect when they are in "Power". Make no mistake these people are actual nazis and the death of innocents it's a very real possibility of they succeed.
I love how it's the same guy each time doing an extremely poor job actually doing a voice
Care to explain why flat out racist robocalls are good?
Because he's a troll that will do anything that will piss people off as long as he doesn't get punished for it
I miss when caring about ratings was bannable.
I miss when ratings spam was bannable.
I missed when being a racist was bannable.
At the same time, Facepunch is a lot less racist than it used to be. I remember one thread back a long while before I joined where someone posted the happy merchant in a thread about Israel, and he got a ton of funnies despite being banned.
The guy does it for reactions which is what you're giving him.
Stop caring about it there's no point
It's so outlandish it's hilarious. Stop being a baby and assuming the worst in people. I'm going to rate it winner right now because of how bizzare the statement of Oprah being a magical negro is.
Ratings imply opinions
The state of democracy
Whats with the anger about ratings, they mean jack shit. Nobody is a racist for rating winner, they're just trying to be funny.
Before the big rule changes on Newpunch, insensitive ratings on sensitive posts were bannable. Once upon a time, rating a thread with a title like "White supremacist marches into church and shoots six black people dead" winner or funny was playing with fire.
Caring about ratings and derailing a thread to complain about them was, too, so it cut both ways.
Reading the phrase "magical negro Oprah Winfrey" makes me imagine her dressed up as some sort of magical fairy who goes around granting wishes to people, like something out of a children's fairytale
"Magical Negro" is a storytelling trope that's been around a while.
Nah fuck that, Jaguar is right. The optimum form of discussion on FP should be people just rating the OP without actually talking about the topic at hand.
This is honestly the most pathetic thing I've ever heard tbh.
The “magical negro” is actually a long-established film trope. It was an attempt to balance out other racist stereotypes (toms, coons, mulattos, mammies, bucks) but was ultimately racist itself, because the black characters always used their magic in the service of whites. If you’ve seen Green Mile, The Legend of Bagger Vance, or Touched By an Angel, you’ve seen the magical negro.
It actually makes a lot of sense that racists would fixate on this trope, partly because of its origin as a reaction to popular racist tropes and partly because (like racists themselves) it is painfully lacking in self-awareness.
And it gives them an excuse to say negro
