Ah fuck I didn't It was pretty late when I got done and it looked like they were out, and I didn't feel like bothering the workers because they looked busy enough.
Because most people have an "Us vs Them" mentality from the Cold War. Tribalism is fucked. What else is there to say. I hope when most of the Baby Boomers are gone, this stops happening. But I'm reluctant thinking so positively.
I wonder if it will spur under the table talks among Republicans to think about usurping Ted's throne in exchange for a more favorable Republican that has a better chance in 2020. At this rate, 2020 will be an even closer battle if Cruz is still in power.
Clearly what is required is a one world government that has absolute power invested in one individual with me being that individual. First course of action: make Florida illegal.
Apportionment and many states adopting anti-gerrymandering measures should mean the House is basically impossible for Republicans to win, the opposite of the Senate.

I hope beto still get huge name recognition from the race and impacts politics like sanders did after his loss. Dems absolutely need strong candidates, instead of pushing establishement noodles.
Wow, America as a whole sure seems to want to suffer

It takes time to build momentum. The fact that Texas was even competitive is kind of mind-blowing. That's like California or New York turning red - unthinkable. It was the GOP nightmare scenario, and while it seemed likely in the far future as demographics shifted, it's gotten suddenly a lot closer. I bet every Republican wonk is pissing themselves right now, thinking about losing it in Prez 2020.
I'd joke about whether there's something in the water that makes people vote like stupid idiots but then again, America has sky-high levels of lead in rural water supplies so
armchair speculation but I think cruz will try again for president in 2020.
america has been downgraded from hellworld to heckworld for the next couple of years
"Crenshaw expressed a desire for a younger and more diverse Republican Party. He told the Weekly Standard, “You keep electing old, rich, white people to the seat—you can expect the Republican party to be gone in 50 years. We can’t keep doing that. We have to make conservatism cool and exciting again.” While he said he supported President Trump's policy agenda, he added, “we’ve got to think long-term too because I don’t think Trump speaks to a lot of young people.” - Wiki So far he seems like an interesting cat and doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to keep up the Yes Man GOP tradition. Know anything else about him?
for the sake of posterity i just want to point out that this post got 30 agrees in 12 minutes jesus christ.

The Republicans are gonna be more Trump like from now on
Curious to see a postmortem on Andrew Gillum
He is a "I don't like the way he says it but I will support everything he does" conservative. Dime a dozen.
House is nice at least. Stops a complete GOP take over. It just sucks that Texas voters can't look past that magical R to see that Ted Cruz doesn't care.
listen, i'll take heckworld if it means more headlines start with "trump tried to..." instead of "trump just..."
'The whole caravan thing is cool but we really need to look to the future; get people excited, you know? So, I was pondering the problem of 'how do we convince the non-white people to leave the US of their own volition' and, funny thing, this movie called 'The Purge' came on. It's a pretty popular movie amongst my younger demographic you know. We're all about that community participation with Twitch and all that, so I wondered what if we just combined The Purge with the gameshow from Manhunt?'
Great, vindication for the party that is genuinely pushing for a future that might kill my children
Progressive candidates have sort of failed with O'Rourke and Gillum, expect Biden 2020 if he runs, he'll announce whether he will in January.

Yeah, and till then Republicans will be more emboldened than ever to be racist fuckers
Ted Cruz let Trump say the most vicious things about his family then rolled over like a dog at his feet. If I was the staunchest, most originalist Republican I'd have abstained or voted for a libertarian or something. How do people think Cruz is anything other than a self-serving coward?
I love how Austin, TX has like 5 districts snaking their way throughout the city Texas would be, like, 60% blue if it had sensible districts
