There's not really any bad candidates who have a chance of winning the 2020 primary, ain't no one's gonna vote for Bloomberg. Biden would be acceptable but I'm scared Trump would beat him
I look forward to watching him squirm here on out
Well, for the past two presidential cycles, it wasn't until halfway through their second term that Congress flipped against the President's party. Trump's four years ahead of schedule.
Sucks to lose to Cruz and DeSantis, but the House is a much bigger victory than those are losses.
just let trump nuke something so we all die already tbh
The house better launch investigations into everything. Make the next two years very uncomfortable for the GOP.
We won't see how Amendment 4 affects the Senate since Rubio's not up till 2022.
here's hoping nancy pelosi follows through on stepping down as majority leader
This.
If they have any sense, Trump will spend the next two years nailed to the fucking wall.
After a year or two.
I'm very convinced that Trump will win a second term
it would affect the next house race no? and the presidency?
bush won by 500 votes in florida, remember.
Think of how many jobs they could create! There would be a huge need for pencil-pushers. Heck, I'd probably apply for such a position myself.
If only I could see a revolution in my timeline early enough to serve.
idk at what with tx beung so close i think we can muster up a less nightmarish trymp second term!! unless he nukes something!! pleaase nuke something i just want us all to die at this point as a mercy killing!!

Ill focus on a positive, the fact that a working class young woman can go from being unknown to be elected in congress because she is a normal person and people see that and trust that she will understand what they need, not through division, voter suppression and fear mongering. That's how democracy should work.
There's a line of bare minimum support you need to win a second term, if you're above it it's two terms no matter what, and below it's impossible. Carter and Bush Sr. were below that line, Bush Jr. was above it.
We don't know where Trump is on that line.
Scott Walker might lose his job so I'm resharing this old video

There were a lot of cool firsts tonight: youngest woman elected to Congress, first Muslim woman elected to Congress, first latina woman representing Texas, first openly gay governor, New Hampshire elects first openly gay congressman, first Native American women, Massachusetts elects first black woman congressman
I hope the Dems keep their momentum moving forward to 2020. There were so many times they got close to winning leaning or even solid R districts. Florida's restored voting power to felons too is huge and I think it really puts a lot of things into a new light for 2020. Nothing is set in stone and all things considered this outcome was the most realistic result in terms of a win for Dems, and a few extra pleasant surprises on top. I hope the best for America in the coming years.
