My bet is the hardcore nutcases, the neo-nazis, the conspiratards, any unfortunate soul this administration has managed to radicalize will go a The uninformed, elderly, and red or dead crew will convince themselves they were never really a trump supporter/never really liked him to save face until the memories disappear down a memory hole and they just don't remember ever supporting him at all, so B.
Watch Fox flip Democrat to stick it to Trump. 40D Parcheezi.
It's not about the Jews for the vast majority of the right, I think it's important to remember that the whole right isn't the extremist right. Even for the people who do subscribe to Jewish conspiracies, Trump is usually involved. After the bombings and all this shit flinging I decided to go down the rabbit hole and see what these people were saying (I browsed Stormfront for a few hours) and to be honest there's a lot that dislike Trump because he doesn't go far enough and is a shill to Israel (Moved embassy) and may as well be a Jew himself(Daughter married a Jew). So those people who care about the Jews will probably just be as hateful as they already were and come up with a conspiracy to justify it. Though they seem to agree that Trump is the furthest-right President we've gotten and therefore their "best bet" so they'll probably be disappointed that the Governments foray into the far-right is coming to an end. Or maybe they'll see it as an opportunity to suck more people into their cause. Either way, the nuances of the extreme-right and antisemitic conspirators are a lot more colorful than just being a MAGA hat wearing Trump voter, and I think it's important not to conflate the two. Your average Fox New's viewer doesn't give a shit about the Jews. At least not from an purely antisemitic conspiracy standpoint. They're presented antisemitic flavored conspiracies by some, but it's presented as conspiracies against the left with the fact the people are Jews being a coincidence. This is like the George Soros conspiracies. Depending on who you're talking to, you can present the same exact conspiracy as being "The Jews hold all the power" or as "This shady leftist billionaire is dumping money into everything." I kind of think of it like training wheels for extremist right-wing radicalization. Anyway... Your average Fox News viewer is old, gullible, and unwavering in their opinion. If Fox starts dunking on Trump, they're going to be in a state of shock/disbelief. "I can't believe/don't believe Trump would do that!" They'll feel confused and in denial. Many will talk about Fake News, etc. They'll basically go through the stages of grief. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. A lot of them legitimately didn't like Trump during the primaries but felt obliged to support him/began to like him afterwords. These people might eventually feel angry that this all happened and that Trump bastardized the GOP which could've been run by Cruz, Rubio, Bush, or whoever they liked originally. The more staunch followers who completely drank the Kool-Aid that Sean Hannity spoon fed them will blame the Corrupt Left and say it's an illegitimate impeachment/whatever, they'll call Fox News liberal media. They'll call the left bastards and call for their heads but ultimately be unable to unless the GOP gains control again in 2020. These people, now settled in their newfound further-right beliefs will follow Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson to wherever they go (Radio, internet, or elsewhere) after Fox "Becomes too damn liberal." and they'll stay there until they die of old age or slowly come to terms with it. In this scenario, Fox News lets off the gas and settles in as a moderate Conservative TV channel, still playing their old tricks but without a lot of the far-right pundits or at least trying to downplay their support of the alt-right. With Hannity, Tucker, Ingram, Coulter, and other Trump loyalists no longer given a platform on a restructuring Fox News, they are welcomed with open arms TOOOOO: Sinclair Broadcasting Group's New Fox News Competitor! https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/16/sean-hannity-sinclair-broadcasting-594348 Which will act as a refuge for the further-right pundits and viewers. Essentially breaking the Right into two distinct groups of people who just want the GOP to survive and Trump loyalists. Each now with their own broadcast echo chambers and also internet enclaves. Then the more further right group will either succeed at pulling in more followers from the less right group, or vice-versa. In conclusion: The Extremist right will just keep doing what they do, being hateful and making up conspiracies to confirm their beliefs. The far-right Trump loyalists will regroup somewhere else. The moderate conservatives/"establishment" Republicans will stick with Fox. This transition will happen over the course of a few years, with various stages of grief from all parties.
Not all heroes wear capes. 🇺🇲
Honestly I'd be okay with that. People will want to string them up for supporting him but I'm behind anything that ends this collective fascist drug trip the right seems to be on.
Makes me wonder are people more loyal to the GOP or Fox News. Because conservatives seem so quick the turn on their fellow party only when it's convenient and only when Fox News says to. But it appears a lot of people generally adore Trump. So will Fox News lose ratings from turning on Trump or will people start turning on Trump.
Here's an interesting article. It's reminiscent of an alliance between two empires with a common goal. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/23/business/media/murdoch-trump-relationship.html The way CNN’s parent company views it, Fox News has adopted a role similar to the one played by Mr. Murdoch’s British tabloids when they helped advance the agendas of British leaders. As Mr. Blair learned, however, even a special relationship with the media baron can sour quickly. He and Mr. Murdoch — once so close that Mr. Blair was the godfather to Grace Murdoch — are no longer on speaking terms. During the British government’s 2012 inquiry into the mogul’s political influence, the former prime minister described what it was like when a story subject falls out of favor with a Murdoch-controlled tabloid. “Once they’re against you, that’s it,” Mr. Blair said. “It’s full on, full frontal, day in, day out, basically a lifetime commitment.”
I think Fox can sense the coming shit-storm, and realized that they've become so accustomed to raining shit upon the world that they themselves have forgotten their umbrellas. You'll know it's bad if Judge Jeanine EVER says or does anything negative towards Trump.
