Hillary Clinton: Europe must curb immigration to stop rightwing populists

Brown people are still allowed to live in the country, being gay isn't a capital offense, there are still people who aren't rich that are getting an education, Republicans can still say "JOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBSJOBS", and almost everyone won't bother to take the 10 minutes to do a google search on whatever their side says because they don't want to run the risk of finding out that they're wrong.
Bending over on immigration accomplishes absolutely fucking nothing other than giving racist idiots what they want for literally no reason.
It's true that Eastern Europe isn't the world but I think it gives more evidence against your case than you have provided in favor for it. All you are really saying is that if leftists of countries like Germany, Sweden, America, and Australia did the things the right wants, the left will win. That's a hard sell, personally
It is a hard sell, but I believe it will handicap the right enough for the left to move in and grab the debate and bring some balance.
When you have an issue as big as immigration and refugees, and that we have no idea when these flows will cease, decrease or be managed in a meaningful way, means until then we are giving these people an endless supply of essentially rocket fuel, the longer we refuse to come to the table on immigration and refugee reforms, the more topics they will be able to grab and use against everyone.
I think we are just going to have to agree to disagree then because as far as I can tell all objective evidence shows that your theory doesn't hold up in practice. I also find it quite disingenuous to say things like "we have no idea when these flows will...be managed in a meaningful way" and "the longer the left refuse to come to the table on immigration and refugee reforms". Not only is it not "the left" responsible for the migrant crisis in Europe, but even if you want to call parties like the CDU left, to say they aren't coming to the table or compromising is just not true. You seem to have this perspective where if anyone lets in any immigrants at all or accepts any refugee then they are automatically open borders leftists.
Nobody is even arguing for 'open borders', the most mainstream left position on this is 'people who are legally refugees according to the treaties we have signed should be able to seek asylum here'
wow really fucking radical man
Except behind all of the racist shithead parties are boatloads of bad policies if you actually bothered to read their programs.
It ranges from cutting social programs to isolating minorities like homosexuals and sick people, pure neoliberalism, shitting on the environment, you name it.
No shit, for anyone who ranks immigration as their top concern are forced to go with these parties because all the other parties are having none of it.
The mind gymnastics here are should be an olympic discipline
Imo Democrats should completely ignore right wing partisans because they're not acting in good faith
The right wing position ranges from "only if they come legally, but no refugees'" to "close the borders, no more brown people". The left wing position is generally "try to stop illegals but if they make it in and don't hurt anyone, leave them be" or "accept refugees and work with illegals to achieve legality". Unlike what I see on conservative boards, nobody is advocating open borders.
Why isn't she advocating the same for the USA?
