Online “Sex Workers” Are Scrambling To Cover Their Tracks After Being Mass Repor

What infuriates me about this fucking argument is that carcarcargo's point is that since they're camgirls. Im not suppose to feel sorry if this shit happens to them cause for some asinine reason. They "Should've been less careless". This is turning into the fucking Wickedplayer argument.
Well what is your definition of objectification first of all.
"Doxxing isn't an issue because it hasn't happened to enough people"
are you for real? Peachy literally said she's experienced it and it's a well-known fact that they're a major target for irl harassment.
There's a difference between annoying idiots on youtube who send angry messages compared to a bunch of sexual perverts who are trying to find a Camgirl to rape. One is much more motivated than the other.
Also, YouTubers do get doxxed, and streamers have gotten SWAT fraudulently called on them so many times that we invented the term "swatting" to describe it.
You're either intentionally acting ignorant or you have no sense of perspective.
No I'm saying it isn't a major issue because its easy to avoid. Yeah getting doxxed sucks and so do the people who do it, but if you know what you're doing its easily avoidable and not something you really have to worry about.
Also what the fuck was the point of bringing up Youtube people getting doxxed? This isn't a fucking contest of going "Who gets doxxed more?" Its more that Doxxing is fucking terrible and it shouldn't be happening to anybody. But obviously the shit thats happening here is that Camgirls getting doxxed isn't much of a problem to carcarcargo since they "Brought it upon themselves".
unlike you, i don't have a personal definition for a word that is already clearly and thoroughly defined. it is not my job to educate you on a concept so easily searchable and widely understood, it was yours, BEFORE you made sweeping statements on it
You obviously underestimate stalkers and harassers. Or you just want to ignore it.
"[Full name], If you stop responding to me, I'm going to send these pictures to your family at your home address, which is [Home Address]. Or maybe I'll just contact them via [Facebook link]."
They do occasionally, but if doxxing was as easy as you insist then it'd be happening a hell of a lot more than it is. the fact that it doesn't happen that often shows it clearly isn't that easy and there's obvious steps you can take to make sure it doesn't happen, which is what most people with large online presences do. If large youtubers can avoid it, then cam girls will small viewer bases will manage it no problem, and most do. Occasionally it happens, but then occasionally people get stabbed on their way to work but you don't see most people factoring that into their life stress.
Or my personal fav, the dude that doxxed me sharing the info publicly including with the people that threatened me harm
No it's up to you to define what behaviour you consider "objectifying". What is objectifying to you? Is making sexual comments to them in the chat objectifying? Commenting on their looks? Is paying them for pics objectification?
It literally fucking isn't easy to avoid. It's nearly impossible to be a ghost on today's internet. You'll leave traces of your presence anywhere you go.
I've been stalked, doxxed and harassed and I'm not even a sex worker. It fucking sucks and I can't imagine what it's like for them when they pretty much have to contend with the threat of it from incels on a daily basis.
and half the time. Its required to put your address into creating accounts. Like Amazon, other delivery sites, paying for bills, etc.
Well plenty of major internet presences seem to manage fine, which wouldn't be possible if it was half as easy as you're making it out to be. Like if your home address and phone number aren't online, do tell me how people can get this information from online I'm dying to know.
This shitty take again. When will people stop this meme. Online communication is communication. Get over it.
Being unable to understand what causes emotionnal distress in most people is the definition of sociopathy, it's nothing to be proud about.
And how are they going to access the info on your amazon account? Most people get doxxed via their facebook accounts where they put personal details onto an account that easily accessed, not shit like amazon.
By hacking? Like i had my account hacked before. Thankfully i stopped them from getting too much shit off my card.
It's just an example, we're not saying Amazon specifically.
A more pertinent example would be using social media of any kind. Even if you keep your sex work accounts and social media completely separate with different names and everything, there's a very non-zero chance that somebody out there with bad intentions will dig up the connection.
If you say "don't use social media" in response to this, that is victim blaming.
I'm sure those cam girls cry themselves to sleep from all the nasty internet trolls as they watch the money roll into their bank.
People care when it's someone they know who's opinion has some kind of impact on their life, most people couldn't give a fuck about the opinion of some faceless anon from fuck knows where.
you want me to define objectifying behaviors, not objectification itself. i'm telling you i can't explain the application of the concept to someone who doesn't know what the concept itself is. you have defined someone who performs sexual acts as objects, that is insane talk. either you're more extreme than i realized, or you misunderstand the word. i'm not gonna indulge the demands of someone who won't indulge a fucking dictionary search
And how did they hack you exactly
also really weird that you think these attitudes only show up on the internet
Directed online harassment can be genuinely frightening, and can induce unhealthy levels of anxiety and generally make you feel unsafe online. Don't discount it.
"What were you wearing?"
Never said that, but then dealing with dickheads in real life isn't a cam girl exclusive.
by fucking hacking. How the fuck would i know?
