Um, why is amazon accounts relevant to doxing camgirls? Am I missing some info here? Here are some things that may contribute to a camgirl (or boy?) getting doxed: She takes nude pictures to send to her johns with her phone, but hasn't turned the location data in the photos off. Identifiable landmarks seen through the window. Identifiable marks on the walls of the apartment (unlikely, but still possible). Brands and furniture that are only really sold in certain locations (unlikely, but still plausible). If she shows her face it could be recognized by someone who knows her, or matched to social media platforms where she shows her face Identifiable birth marks on the body (less likely if they are on parts of the body covered by clothes, but still possible). This is just of the top of my head, not a conclusive list in any way.

Isn't that basically what happened to that kid 4chan doxxed for uploading videos of him slamming around a cat on the walls?

How are their IP addresses getting out? Do camgirls connect via P2P to their viewers? Are they tricked into clicking on sites that log their IP? Do they do the web beacon thing in emails? Off the top of my head, I think doxing via other ways is more likely.

I find the implicit acceptance of hate against sex workers very interesting Call me crazy, but I think the relationship between doxxing and sex work is a tiny bit different than doxxing and baking. Or doxxing and construction work, etc. Having sensitive information released without consent is awful for anyone, period. With that said, sex workers get targeted more often. You're partially right, since that removes a chunk of the performance/constant feedback stress; but you honestly won't make enough for a living by just doing that. Even if you could, the sheer volume and amount of attention that you'd have to pay attention to mantaining such a service would be fairly high. If all you're doing is taking nude selfies, you're probably running a blog for fun/extra change at best and not for a living.

They deserve it. Unless you're homeless and completely cut from society (and then don't pay taxes because you probably have no income), by living in a developped country, you benefit from services paid by taxes that are necesary for a modern lifestyle. So pay your taxes.

1) they're usually self employed 2) generally if they're in the position to be making a living off of it, their family knows and support them because there's nothing wrong with it 3) why work a minimum wage job when you can make more than minimum wage by working at home 4) anyone who has an online presence is at risk of being doxxed. why make a living off of streaming video games on twitch if you don't want to get doxxed? might as well just not use the internet
