Not victim blaming, victim blaming would be saying they deserve it, whereas I'm just saying it's a minor issue and not as big of a problem you're making it out to be.
Blame means it's their fault, not that they deserve it. Are you really fucking up the definition of the word "blame"???
Well yeah it's an easy job and a privileged one, if you can make money out of it go ahead I never said otherwise.
Online harassment and doxxing is not a minor issue and the responsibility does not rest squarely on your own shoulders to stop it. You're victim blaming whether you want to admit it or not.
what privileges does it afford you? why do you continuously deny the huge stigma that exists around it?
"But your job is easy and any abuse you recieve is your fault and not that bad, so get over it"
It's not an easy low stress job. It is the very opposite of low stress.Instead of having a boss, you have a bunch of demanding, disparate people clawing at you, many of which serve you direct personal threats if they feel that they have been slighted in some way.
Yeah camming is so privileged that's why thousands of losers are organizing a targeted harassment campaign on purely misogynistic grounds. You're ridiculous.
I didn't say it's their fault, I said it's easy to avoid as long as you don't leave your info out in the open. As I said, if I post my pin number online is it victim blaming to say I'm an idiot for being too loose with my personal information? Like yeah you're still a dick if you exploit that, but you're never going to make shitheads disappear off the face of the planet, but it's quite easy to avoid ending up in a bad situation if you exercise the slightest bit of care.
Except read peachy's post
They dont. None of them do. FFS we have a person in this thread who worked as one and has said that someone found their information of where they lived. Without posting a fucking bit of info of themselves.
note to all the people who think sexism only comes from people who outright say that men are better than women let's not forget this is the guy who said women who show their bodies become sex objects, now dodging every question about a social stigma
Well they can't find your address if you don't put it online. Like if you're going to be a figure in the public eye you leave keep that info off the internet. It's literally the only way you're going to make sure they can't get it. I've certainly never put my address online for that exact reason.
You're a moron lmfao do you seriously believe everyone who's been doxxed put their information out publicly? And again, the fact that you're blaming the victim more than the people doing the actual crime is telling.
Because your idea of being "objectified" is people making sexual comments to some who's a sexual performer that interacts with their audience. I'm saying what else do you expect when you're doing an interactive sex performance? If they say exceptionally weird stuff block em. Most cam girls have mods who deal with that shit for them.
Yet there's countless examples of people getting their addresses found without them even putting them online. Or their accounts get hacked and they discover their street address via shipping addresses.
How else are they going to get your info if it's not online?
You ever hear of a thing called an IP address? Or are camgirls to blame if they don't use proxies?
Do you just think this entire situation is just Angry remarks in some fucking chat-room. Is that what you think we're talking about in terms of "Harassment?" Like for fuck sake Peachy has said that someone discovered her location and attempted to stalk her. Like do you fucking think everything that happens to these people is just them being a "Whiny bitch"?
Not only are you an idiot on this particular topic, you're clearly an idiot when it comes to cybersecurity too, because this is absolutely not how the internet works at all.
99% of the time it is just angry remarks on a chat room, you're all acting like every cam girl gets doxxed or something.
Doxxing and similar harassment is incredibly common for online sex workers. Would "ever cam girl" have to get doxxed in order for you to be actually concerned?
IP won't give them your home address, it gives a huge general location of multiple square miles
Except there is countless stories of them being stalked, harassed in public, doxxed, getting their accounts hacked, and have people attempt to sabotage their social life. Are you even reading what im typing? Cause i think you're just on autopilot, repeating the same bullshit for the past 7 pages.
you literally defined sexual acts as objectification. it is your definition of it that is outside reality
Which a harasser can use to severely narrow down your physical location and work from there. Are you fucking dense.
It certainly helps narrow the search, doesn't it? Anybody who's ever bought something from Amazon put their information online. Are camgirls to blame if they buy things online?
If doxxing was that easy every major youtuber would have been doxxed by now, they all certainly have enough haters. It clearly isn't that easy.
