Tammi is such a shit.
I wish I was paid top-dollar to spout bullshit opinions on TV/twitter.
Imagine getting paid to do the real-life equivalent of shitposting.
This is the new normal for Fox. it's not a panel of policy wonks and Republican and Democratic lawmakers hashing it out on TV, it's just people being spiteful because that's the brand Trump has placed on the Republican party.
Now I don't mean to appeal to a radically different scenario here but does this mean you don't support the actions that caused the civil Rights movement by the African American community? They had to pursue illegal activity to draw attention to their plight.
Also the weed thing is a moot point because the reason weed is becoming legal is through all of us illegally smoking, buying and selling pot till it became a cultural norm, Same with alcohol
I think the debate is about updating our laws to regulate asylum-seeking, since there's some new trends and issues that show the shortcomings of our system that create a game of cat and mouse where if you make it in, you're good.
Please see my later post, I already answered this. They broke laws and they were punished for it. The people trying to cross the border are breaking a law and are being punished for it.
Weed isnt a moot point though, its going into what my point is. Weed laws are changing because people are working to get them changed which is what would need to happen for immigration law.
As it stands right now I dont think that will happen. So now they either go in the way that border patrol wants or they are going to get their asses tear gassed.
You’re leaving out the fact that there was a large group of people doing it all at once and border patrol would clearly be outnumbered if they had tried to round up every individual person who committed assault in the midst of an escalating situation.
Now you’re just being obtuse about it. It’s not border patrol’s job to kill people. Also I think you’re grossly underestimating how much time and resources it takes to process that many people at once, even if they were being cooperative.
We already know Trump is exacerbating the problems with immigration and we’re already aware most undocumented immigrants aren’t felons. Neither of those things give you a free pass to attack border patrol agents in an attempt to circumvent being processed like everyone else.
Actually my intent was the opposite. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt and allow you to at least explain why you thought border patrol was in the wrong and what they should have done differently. At least in Umbra’s case the issue seemed to be more about the methods used; but your evasiveness and refusal to give any direct answer makes it abundantly clear that no appropriate response from border patrol exists in your mind. This here seems to be the issue I’ve seen brought up most in threads regarding illegal immigration.
Serious question for everyone shitting on border patrol in this thread: If border patrol’s response in this article is not justified THAN WHAT IS?
People on here keep saying they’re not advocating for open borders, yet every action taken by border patrol always seems to be the wrong one every single time in every single thread relating to this issue. It’s really hard not to assume some people are advocating for open borders when everything short of doing absolutely nothing is always the wrong answer.
ah "someone else did it so why are you upset" argument
it wasn't good when obama did it
it wasn't good when it happened to the Dakota Pipeline Protesters
Also OvB laid out a process that already happens
