If Trump gets away with it, then everyone gets away with it, for he shall pardon thine hand
Ph fuck i forgot you were a mod
I have never really liked articles like this. We don't truly know what the investigation is doing because they run such a tight ship, which I think is for the best. All these speculation articles do is basically say the same thing "Mueller is doing X and is looking at Y for Trump". Sort of reminds me of Qanon believers who keep going "ANY DAY NOW THE STORM WILL COME". Let's just wait until Mueller and his team actually make the moves before writing articles on it
The best part of Trump being indicted has got to be when they have to drag him kicking and screaming out of the White House while tweeting about it.
They are making the moves though. As the targets of the investigation become narrowed, the subject of the investigation becomes clear -- and the more the people surrounding that target are investigated and cleared/charged the closer we are to Mueller finally going after the subject of this probe: Donald J. Trump. That's what the article means by 'tying up loose ends'. Once Mueller has exhausted all other avenues and interrogated every person involved in the probe then there will be nothing left for him to do but prepare his report and recommend or not recommend any number of indictments on what grounds with evidence prepared to back those indictments.
Additionally, now that Trump has answered some of Mueller's questions, we can view Trump's reactions in a different light - as he is most certainly receiving updates on Mueller's movements. Therefore, the more outraged and aggravated Trump becomes, the closer Mueller is to charging him. We already know that Trump most likely committed perjury because Trump's lawyers were speaking with Manafort's lawyers this whole time -- all in effort to learn what Mueller was doing, what he was asking, and how Manafort responded. In effect, Trump most likely 'copied Manafort's notes'. It is public record now that Manafort lied to federal investigators regarding much of what he spread to Trump -- which when Mueller charged Manafort with those charges was a shot directly across Trump's bow.
By Occam's Razor, taking into account what we know about Trump, he likely matched his answers to Mueller to what Manafort told them he responded to Mueller's questions with. Since Manafort was charged for lying to federal investigators on those answers, therefore, Trump is also likely to be charged with lying to federal investigators. The public path to impeachment has more or less been laid clearly at this point as, even without Mueller's mountains of evidence, we can see now a clear path from Russia directly to Trump and back to Russia during the Presidential Election. If we can see that path clearly, now, just with what's publicly available as evidence then Mueller most likely already has an airtight case and is simply making it bulletproof at this time.
If what he is doing is more or less just making his case bulletproof, then, while Trump makes his guilty mind clearer and clearer with Trump now even nakedly committing witness tampering on Twitter all Mueller is doing is biding his time to cross his Ts and dot his Is. That stage of a probe lies directly before Mueller charging the President. I feel it's pretty clear here that Mueller is two moves away from Checkmate and he's already making his penultimate moves -- and what these articles are reporting on are those penultimate moves.
To compare that with QAnon basically interpreting nothing and fabricating everything is disingenuous.
