Argentine radio host ordered to have feminists on show

And your ideal solution is to throw this person into jail for saying offensive shit?
No. Again, you didn't even read what I've typed in this thread for the Fourth time in a row now.
I said the idea of allowing a feminist to come onto his radio show is a much better solution than just throwing the creep into jail. One, cause it establishes communication and discussion between the two groups. Two, it can help stop hostilities between the two groups. And three, it keeps his listeners from going "THEY THREW HIM IN JAIL, NOW THEY'RE AFTER US!".
If you though i said i wanted him jail, i said he's lucky that he didn't get his ass thrown in jail.
Then again its not surprising that you're trying your best to paint this as "FEMINISTS ARE BAD" given your post history.

Holy shit yiiiiiikes.
along with trying to downplay Bill Cosby's crimes and trying to fabricate a lie of a pregnant woman lying about her pregnancy after she got a miscarriage from being beaten by police officers.
Its like Jouska levels of stupid.
Look, if you ascribe to the American ideal of free speech, I understand if you feel that the need to defend it is absolute. And maybe you think that a society that undervalues that free speech is setting themselves up for serious problems. But the sort of anti-discrimination laws we have, as overbearing as they may be by your standards, are some of the only protections vulnerable groups get. Women have to face groping in public transit on an almost daily fucking basis. Murder and violence motivated by gender affects them in massively disproportionate levels. And the cultural issues are plenty, attitudes like this guy's - "If your 12 year old daughter goes out showing her tits and pouting, there's a provocation" - aren't uncommon. I would certainly support a law that effectively addressed these problems without setting up a precedent that can be misused. But those are far and few in between, sometimes, they don't exist. When faced with the option of being cautious and waiting for the perfect law, or taking what they can get in societies where bigotry is often the dominant line of thought, it's no wonder people are fine with the latter.
This does not evade the fact that he's facing legal persecution for speaking his mind. I don't stand by his words, but I stand by his right to free speech.
And I don't know what part of this "establishes communication and discussion between the two groups" for you:
>Angel Etchecopar must not interrupt his guests for 10 minutes, nor can he criticise them after they finish.

Jeez man. I'm sorry I ever wrote that. That was *7 years ago*. I was 14 years old. Please believe me when I say I've matured considerably since then.
Fair enough, but I don't think there is a perfect law that can appropriately address hate without setting up a precedent for misuse.
There are some really fucked up guys out there. But I don't think letting the government define what counts as hateful discrimination is a great idea. I don't agree with any of that misogynistic bullshit that he spreads - but I most definitely don't think you should be able to face jail time for having these thoughts.
I mean, it is. It's a radio show. If you don't like what he says, don't tune in. The government shouldn't have any business forcing you to play nice with people when you're a grown ass man
He isn't just speaking his mind though,
The [host] also proposed "a hammer blow to the head" to women over 40 who do[es] not fall into [his] category of "something edible."
It seems fairly clear that he thinks who he doesn't deem young or attractive enough for his standards should be killed, I'd imagine that crosses over into incinting violence which is more then just speaking his mind.
Well I believe in a lot of feminist ideals of empowering women through social conditioning and diversity in media. I’m even a fan of many Anita Sarkeesian videos, like her criticism of Smurfette syndrome.
As a criticism against modern feminism, that there seems to be a refusal to accept criticism of this sort of representation like the ghost busters debacle.
I believe that we do need more education and sexual consent, assault, etc...
But do criticize those modern feminists who say that you should always believe women 100% before due process.
I think women should be treated as humans and not fuck things like mysoginistic culture inhabits.
There’s a bunch of things I could go on. Honestly everything I’ve seen this guy say are fucking horrible, and I don’t like at all. I just think he should be allowed to say those things, because I believe freedom of speech is valuable to society.
Then you have the other guys who do tune in and become more misogynist and crazier due to the radio host's rhetoric.
