Eh, Johnson still has him beat by quite a bit. Republican control of the Senate and lack of a super majority keeps the Democrats from just overriding literally everything Trump does.
Thing is Johnson intentionally let the south have what they want. He was a former democrat with southern sympathies. Trump's not only malicious with his federal government, he's actively incompetent. Read the comments of the reddit post above. People are getting so many mixed message from the top they don't know what the hell to do with their agencies.
Johnson spent most of his own presidency literally unable to do anything because congress kept overriding his vetoes and stepping all over him. Hell, congress even made it so that he couldn't fire cabinet members without Senate approval. Trump is awful and likely a lame duck now but he's hardly the weakest president we've had.
That's only because the congress was majority republican and did not want to do absolutely anything to help the south which had just betrayed the union in the 4 years long war they just fought, and especially help this southern asshat who completely betrayed their leader's legacy. Johson TRIED to get things done but was thankfully stopped. Trump meanwhile, has actively failed several times to pass legislation he has wanted such as repealing obamacare, and that's with complete control of not just congress but the entire government under his party. In addition to that, Trump has further succeeded in driving the country apart, completely destroyed our alliances overseas, has screwed over our economy because of his dangerous policies, none of which a "strong leader" would do. This isn't even covering once again, how little the Federal Government is actually being run. The Trump presidency has been one of the most incompetent and corrupt administrations in this history of the nation, and that's including Nixon, Harding, Van Buren and others. I have no doubt in my mind when historians look back on us in the future, they're going to be completely amazed at how we let a president such as this in, and Trump will be ranked as the worst president for years to come, at least until another president whose somehow worse than him comes along. God help us if that ever happens.
Okay but please please please god no because the blue wave we got in the 2018 election will be eradicated if Trump gets killed. We'll get such an intense red wave, and the after-effects will be so fucking catastrophic, if Donald Trump becomes a fucking martyr. Worst-fucking-case scenario is that someone does kill Trump.
Correct. I don't want any president to be assassinated. As much as I hate the piece of shit in office right now, what's worse is Trump being a martyr. The shitstorm would be catastrophic indeed, and I would guess there would be an intelligent, sane psychopath who would continue his policies, but make sure to hide any incriminating evidence. Voting is the better option for now, since impeachment won't happen unless the GOP wakes up and stops being complicit.
Trump should be imprisoned, not killed. There are so many reasons why that'd be preferable over his death.
The population of the US is a lot more incompetent too than back then, so the approval ratings even out.
