Will you relax? I didn't call you a retard or a dumbass, I said you were ignorant, because you're ignoring the actual evidence which is that Democratic leadership has not supported any single-payer legislation (Pelosi seems OK with a hearing as of today, but I remain cautiously optimistic). If you can't handle a tepid criticism like that then don't get into political arguments. It isn't even my job to be giving you evidence, you yourself have yet to show Schumer or Pelosi concretely saying "Yes, I support single-payer." You can't find it, because they don't, and it's not explicitly written in the platform. How is that "limited evidence?" How much clearer does it have to be?
And no, it's not. A public option means the government establishes an insurance agency that competes as an alternative with other private insurers. You're still paying premiums. A single-payer system effectively eliminates the private insurance industry altogether (barring supplemental plans if you want) and makes the government the sole insurance provider that covers every citizen automatically, no premiums, no questions asked. I've shown you the polling data showing the overwhelming majority of Democrats, the country, and even a slight majority of Republicans are in favor of this specific policy.
Those moderate Democrats do not make up the majority of the Democratic electorate. Why should they be allowed to hold back what 85% of the party wants?
The Democrats were a mistake.

The Republicans were also a mistake.
Just realized my representative voted for Thomas Massie. They are like best friends in congress. He wasn't even running but he voted for him lol. It's kind of cute.
