It psychically pains me I can't find anything embarrassing 80s-90s RNC footage, so Hilldawg doing the macarena will have to do.

"Boss? Is that you?"
I've got pretty seveere insecurity issues, and being in the presence of cool people scare me. I think the republicans feel something pretty similar
Baffling levels of irony. They think AOC is dumb, as opposed to the "very stable genius" that's been in the highest office for two years? Trump doesn't even have the benefit of being a nice person.
Trump has been pretty unflappable in the face of all the criticism he's gotten.
He honestly, has met his fucking match in AOC.
This woman isn't going to be fucked with, and it's fucking beautiful that she's just not going to take this shit.
AOC isn't fit to be president at this stage in her career, but hopefully she starts setting a standard for other charismatic young democrats to follow.
that's Dan Crenshaw by the way, former Navy SEAL and professional "guy who seems cool until you learn he supports the wall and eppically trolles the libs on twitter like a badass"
It got worse
he once had a beer during a basket ball game
No way I fucking love Phoenix!
And I love AOC!
This is too wholesome
Can someone clarify where the smear campaign about this dancing video is? It seems like a bunch of left-wing people going crazy about something that just doesn't exist. All I've seen is right-wing people saying how it is going to help her because she's relatable.
The video was shared by someone who stated;
“Here is America’s favorite commie know-it-all acting like the clueless nitwit she is...”
The right has been attacking her non stop for weeks, if not months. Is it really at all hard to see this for what it is? For what it started as?
It was some random anonymous account...
Solidus
Solidus has been dead for about five years now.
So the various right wing media idiots who have talked about this, and will surely continue to talk about this as the day goes on are nobodies. Okay.
I guess her being the only member of congress to receive a "Booing" yesterday isn't something that we can say "The republicans did"(even though it was literally elected officials who decided to "boo" her)
For months, the right has attacked her. This isn't up for debate, this is a thing they've done. Why do you think they haven't?
There isn't. Someone pointed this out earlier in the thread:
I think because the article only states that the far right have been outraged over the video but doesn't demonstrate who those that are outraged are other than "A Twitter user that affiliates itself with the far-right conspiracy theorist QAnon".
I tried seeing if I could find any, but fuck if Twitter isn't the worst kind of place to search on
Please go reread my posts. You seem to be talking past me, at at me.
This is basically every criticism of her I've seen. All claims with no substance whatsoever.
I've seen the right compare her to Palin. Even if she actually was as dumb as Palin, here's the massive difference: AOC is a first term rep and Palin was the running mate for the GOP's chosen presidential candidate.
It's the age of only reading headlines and filling in the blanks with your own narrative sadly.
If it's entirely fair for right wingers to portray the left wing based off of tweets of a minority of extreme social justice warriors, then yes.
You know, I've got another really interesting and unique alternative: both are bad.
I want to be Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez when I grow up.
She's pretty fucking cool tbh
"do you think you have what it takes to dance in Washington?"
"yes, quite literally...."
Honestly I think this whole rage is intended to be a joke, but no one in the GOP on the senate or house can call the buff because it would require them to dance without embarrassing themselves and guess what, they can't dance.
Then tell the right wing to stop as well as the left. I agree with you completely, and it sucks that we've got to this point, but since the right wing are doing it, the left has to as well or else they look unreasonable. It's a catch 22 because then the right wing does it more and so on and so forth.
Or we could just lead by example and don't give a fuck about what others are doing? Do you really think your tactic scales?
If both sets of tactics depend on what the other party is doing; we'll never make any progress.
No, we can't. We can't afford to. The right wing has taken everything reasonable and thrown it out the window. They don't give a shit about being civil anymore. They will do everything in their power to destroy the left wing and make sure it never comes to power again in order to let corporations skullfuck the nation just so they can get legitimately racist and sexist policies into action. The right wing in their current form will never play ball. We've tried to compromise with them before in recent times and look where that got us. The only thing that "taking lead" and going the "high road" will do in a situation like this will make the left look weak and the right look strong.
So no, thank you, I'm going to make fun of the right wing for posting a video of a beautiful young woman dancing for fun and call it controversial, especially because I know there are a sizeable number of people out there on the right who legitimately think it is and hate women for it.
