• Shocking video shows Ocasio-Cortez dancing with her friends

practically nobody on the right cares about this except qanon boomers. the entire source of "the right is OUTRAGED at THIS!!!" in the article is this quote A Twitter user that affiliates itself with the far-right conspiracy theorist QAnon posted the video with the caption: “Here is America’s favorite commie know-it-all acting like the clueless nitwit she is...” QAnons are idiots that nobody cares about. no actual right-wing pundits or politicians have claimed her dancing as outrageous, a fuckton of the alt-right think the video is hot. this outrage has been manufactured.
I've always thought that she had this look on her face (in photos) like she's about to take the most intense and accurate bite out of a grape, seeing the video it's honestly very humanizing and funny. I don't get the horror surrounding this politician. I've read that she's a democratic socialist, which made me a bit iffy but then the sentence immediately followed with "She supports progressive policies such as Medicare for All, a job guarantee, tuition-free public college, ending the privatization of prisons, and enacting gun-control policies." Which is just the most sensible shit in Europe that even some conservatives are totally okay with, all socially democratic parties have these policies, why the fucc are they making everyone nervous by flipping the label around into the stupid one no one wants? But even so, even if Cortez actually does want the full DS package as her opponents warn, everything she wants to do in her career at the moment seems fine policy wise, and if there is more radical shit to follow then that's why you have political oppositions to begin with, and it would take a long time to turn the states into Yugoslavia 2.0.
You'd be surprised at the number of people who claim QAnon has legitimacy.
QAnons make up approximately the same amount of the voting population as crystal hippies.
Wouldn't be so sure. My poor grandmother watches far-right channels that try to substantiate/prove QAnon's "theories".
Pretending there's some substantial outrage where there is not is dishonest, plain and simple. Integrity is not something that should be compromised. Ever.
Thing is I'm not even sure if there exactly isn't. It's like I said, the far right wing is exactly the kind to get their panties in a twist about this, and as far as it seems they've just covered it up and deleted any trace of any outrage so they don't seem so stupid.
It’s one tweet! Saying they’re “the kind to get their panties in a twist about this” is not the same as them actually getting their panties in a twist. We’ve all been bamboozled by shitty reporting. Just own up to it instead of going “but but but but THEY COULD HAVE BEEN UPSET!!”

I guess my view about it is just kind of "meh"? I'm going to make fun of these assholes for holding those kinds of sexist views anyways, and hey a couple of them actually did believe in it so...
It was worse than the time Bush barfed in the Japanese PM's lap.
"I believe that I'm on the generally right side of the political spectrum, there I am right to make any accusation that I want, whether true or not."
Or maybe the fact that I hang out on debate servers and routinely meet people who believe women shouldn't
Pro tip: Stop assuming people on debate servers are in any way indicative of the voting public, that's like barely a step above assuming /pol/ represents the general population. Someone out there believes whatever stupid position you can imagine on literally any issue. There's no substantial outrage here; there's the obligatory few morons with a hot take. 'well SOMEONE out there is actually offended' is such a bad rationalization for playing into a constructed narrative.
More projection than IMAX
I'm not putting it out onto the voting public. I'm putting it out on the right and its leadership, which in recent years has increasingly included and embraced the far right which are the kind of people that believe in those things. We have leaders in office right now who think it's okay to just casually talk about "grabbing em right by the pussy", as well as those who more than likely not have actually committed to some degree of sexual assault, and that's absolutely abhorrent. I'm going to do everything I can to try to and spike that shit out of the fucking ballpark. There's no doubt in my mind at least one GOP senator or house representative actually believes that this video proves how "frivolous" and "out of touch" this "commie liberal" is. This kind of thinking deserves ridicule and absolutely should be nowhere near as prevalent as it is, yet we know for a fact that people actually believe in it. Fuck them.
You shouldn't be throwing rocks when you live in a glass house, especially after pulling the most retarded factoid I've seen in recent history out from thin air: https://puu.sh/CsSdt/0a11f4d68b.png
The outrage over this specific incident is not as significant as the reporting on it would lead you to believe. You're afraid of admitting that obvious truth because you don't want to validate, in any small part, the right's enabling (and furthering) of an undercurrent of outrage over AOC and the left in general, which they've taken advantage of to gain power. I agree, their reactions are baseless, and their tactics are dangerous. Arguing against that doesn't require you to be blind to the very simple point people are trying to get through to you, that there was no strong reaction to this dancing video, and that backing it up with "I hang out in internet debate rooms" is not very compelling. Do I believe the "this is why Trump won" logic that the press misrepresenting this story for views bolsters the alt-right's arguments against the media? No, those arguments are bolstered by the right's own misrepresentations. Does that mean I agree with your being openly uncritical of easily observable reality on the basis of "SOME people were outraged" and "the right does it too"? No, I think you're being ridiculous
lmao of course red hats are all boring old fucks with zero taste
Gateway Pundit now reporting a killer "EXCLUSIVE" that is probably the nail in the coffin for AOC: she used to be nicknamed "Sandy" https://twitter.com/classiclib3ral/status/1082139379932561409?s=09 It wasn’t until her final months at university that Ocasio-Cortez started going by “Alexandria” instead of “Sandy” as an attempt to help propel her career. This is the end
My ex was one of these people and she very proudly voted for Trump and wore her MAGA hat to "trigger the libs" at her class. These people exist and they vote.
I never rejected people's claims that only a few people on the right were actively commenting about this. My only point is that I'm going to mock the hell out of the right for enabling this kind of behavior, because both you and I know even if only a couple people actually did actively say anything about that video, there's more people on that side that sympathized with them and believed the same thing. If you don't say anything against these kinds of opinions, all it does is let them fester and and grow. And that's why I'll say the right mocked AOC for dancing, because if not it lets them get away with tacitly approving such behavior.
At first, i believed in this and even ridiculed the conservatives for being that stupid because it reeks of bullshit and i know there are other LEGITIMATE criticisms of her. they could have gone after the fact she refused to answer the questions how to pay for the policies she wanted (I'm not going in to all that now because this is about the dancing video) But after i saw that there were only 4 accounts cited one of which is now deleted i am seriously in doubt over that. If i did not know any better I'd say that this was manufactured by someone who desperately needed a win over the (Conservatards) for being so obtuse. It would also give the false appearance that said conservatards have no legitimate critisisms against her policies and that would give off the appearance that the conservatives are afraid of her and are desperate to go after her. ill close this one off by saying that if i were to use your example of assuming the majority out of less than a handful of accounts (of which their credibility is of dubious nature at best) and even after that double down and say that the right (as a whole group because saying the right would imply at least the majority) are mocking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for dancing when the facts shows otherwise lends credibility to the right and would embolden them to continue. because if you are focusing on whats untrue about them they don't have to worry about consequences for the actual things they are doing. Using the same standards as you did i could say something as obtuse as this. (Flawed logic incoming) 1 Black driver shoots car and a 7 year old girl dies. this means black people kills kids. because if one man did it it would mean more would and we have to call it out or else it would fester. 2 The young turks reported it to be a white man who did it and that this is the result of owning guns. This would mean that every democrat would jump the gun to blame a white man and say it was racially motivated because to not call that out would be to allow it to fester. But it also means that owning guns isn't the only thing that we have to stop. we need to ban cars as well because this happened on the road. As you can see. this line of reasoning would be obtuse if not moronic on my part. I would encourage you to read the The Young Turks fallout for misreporting this case though. as for the AOC manufactured outrage i leave you these sources. Source1, Source2, Source3, FoxNews.
How about you try debunking what i said instead of conceding by calling it dumb <3
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't an alt of a banned poster even though you literally joined 2 hours ago just to post about this specific thing. Whining about ratings here is frowned upon.
i concede that you are dumb
"there is a giant invisible whale flying around the earth! Explain to me why I'm wrong in a way I agree with or you're conceding"
You know. wanting to prove a negative is a trait common with you people. prove to me that the russians did not hack the election for one. i mean trump is clearly guilty haha. or prove that darth vader does not exist. its just as laughably obtuse.
That's literally the point i'm making against the person I was replying to...
