https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-46773625 Wow so now they have authority over Bangkok Immigration officers. Thailand should do something.
The full article indicates that the Thailand government itself might be in bed with the Saudis. So she's probably fucked.
Her twitter is really depressing. https://twitter.com/rahaf84427714
Fuck religious extremism. Or fuck extremism in general, hope she is gonna be okay.
This is really interesting, considering that Thailand is a Buddhist majority nation that is currently fighting a nasty insurgency with Muslim separatists in the far south of the country. They're really not big fans of Islam, so it's strange they're bending over to give the Saudi's a hand in this matter. Maybe they want to avoid inflaming tensions in the south by not creating an international incident with the most powerful and important Islamic nation in the world?
Thailand loves money
It's difficult for me to accentuate to much I hate the Saudis. I hope this woman escapes this horror. It makes me wonder if there's anything I can do.
She hasn't gotten on a flight yet, seems like things are slightly improving. https://twitter.com/rahaf84427714/status/1082193535686840321 https://twitter.com/LotteLeicht1/status/1082210033419649024 By no means is she safe yet, this is still ongoing.

Yeah bring her here, only problem is being by herself it wont be easy to adjust but honestly starting again in Aus is a way better alternative to returning to SA.
