Trump Claims He Never Said Mexico Would LITERALLY Pay For The Wall

I'm not saying you should get banned or anything but it definitely comes across as trolling when your opening post is nonsensical and your followup trying to establish yourself as a centrist is immediately contradicted by your own post history, which you wave away as sarcasm.
I think he is saying that Trump lying about funding the wall is irrelevant because the wall is a bad idea.
We have video proof of him fucking saying it during his campaign. How can he refute this?
nothing anyone can do about that one but garry doesn't post in PD
The same old "dumb liberals what he really meant is _____".
If Trump said the moon was made out of cheese you would have people like mjkey saying that obviously he wasn't being literal because cheese is a slang term for money and that valuable materials can be mined from the lunar surface.
If you refuse to realize why you’re what about ism here Is stupid that’s on you.
But it’s plain to see
I can confirm that the Trump supporter I know thought this was an ~image~ and also he doesn't care that it tricks other people.
I would say you’re trolling because you’re posting is so low effort. You don’t read or comprehend literally any arguments put forwards.
That to to me is trolling
I agree with this in principle, but in practice I think there's actually some truth to the idea that smaller controversies can overshadow the important problems. Especially with the Trump Administration, at this point it's practically their main and possibly most effective, if unintentional, strategy. I would imagine most other presidents would be grilled endlessly for lying blatantly three times about releasing their tax returns and in the end refusing to do so, but for Trump there's a new insane statement every other day, so the tax returns thing and other truly bad things often get drowned out. Only people keeping lists and timelines can remember what shitty thing he said last week.
However, I don't think the remedy is to not criticize unless it's something really huge. We just need to keep also remembering the big things, compile them, remind people of them, etc. And also, this one is pretty big compared to other smaller things (covfefe, united shesh, generally awful tweets, etc) since this one is actually him trying to lie his way out of one of his biggest promises.
we're in a post-truth era, facts don't matter and lies are applauded. where have you been?
