Judge voids Alabama law protecting Confederate monuments

Putting aside the aforementioned shitty reasons they were created in the first place, these things are pretty much the southern US's version of the Soviet's mass-produced Lenin statues. There were so many of them made that it's not worth it to keep them, or even realistic to pop them all into a museum.
You'd think they'd be somewhat adverse to flaunting an ever-lasting reminder of what happens when you try to rise up against a "tyrannical federal government".
in that case just keep some of them
definitely don't get rid of all of them though
If it honours the dead then it should be respected not because of the false-narrative that it tried to enforce but because it still honours the dead.
People can point out that it was put there for false narrative but when it memorializes sacrifice on the part of Confederate soldiers (or anyone for that manner) then the dead should be respected, especially if they were simple soldiers/officers.
I do think they should be removed, but I think a museum section should be dedicated to it, a la a Nazi historical museum. Reveal what is to be condemned.
