i don't think wapo reports inaccurately, i think sometimes they do stupid shit
His response does not state that the story is false or that the events in question didn't happen, but that the story was inaccurate in regards to documentation and testimony received specifically by the special counsel's office -- which is only part of the equation in this story. Granted, until there is further verification, I do think it's probably best to consider the story sunk. Trump has nakedly obstructed justice a hundred different ways, so the only real difference here in terms of his impeachment, indictment, and arrest is some additional time.
Is pubisslic like an advanced civilisation of STI crabs? I hope they get to vote at the next election too.
Remember when I made that mob-boss comparison where the difference was explicit versus implicit being potentially the thing that the SCO was after? (e.g. 'kill this guy' versus 'take care of it') Well, Giuliani is admitting that 'Trump might have talked to Cohen about his testimony' and, if he did, 'So what?'. That more or less goes another 1/5th to confirming that the BuzzFeed story, though perhaps not 100% accurate, is nonetheless likely to be proven out to be essentially true at the rate things are proceeding. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/426202-guiliani-says-trump-might-have-talked-to-cohen-about-his-testimony-so
"And if I did, it isn't a crime." Next up "But if it is, the country deserves it". Guiliani also dropping the plot by indirectly confirming Trump engaged in witness tampering and obstruction of justice, after he backpedaled on his blanket denial that the Trump campaign never colluded to insist he was only talking about Trump (a curiously specific omission that implies he's admitting the campaign did collude).
