Please native-americans, don't send these people back to Europe.

more context
As someone else said here a few weeks ago we live in the age of information, not the age of truth.
The dude in the MAGA hat next to the white kid looking at the Indian dude drumming is saying this to someone behind him.
This doesn't add context, it just creates more questions.
Imaging being privileged enough to go to private school. Get what is considered a better education then most public schools and still be a ignorant little shit.
Oh wait, it is called elitism and raising your kids to be pretentious little shits. They wouldn't survive a day in public school, someone would target their ass and whoop them.
It's not just that, it's the information we all have and what we choose to perceive it as. These kids choose to be ignorant in spite of all the counterpoints and the talks and the films put out to prove "MAGA" is harmful.
Must be a new Principal at the school, because this ain't the work of good Catholics.
I dunno if it's me, but that voice doesn't sound like it was originally there and was dubbed in to discredit the native americans
Fundies and the far right have always been easily triggered, lots of innocuous social stuff they demand go their way because of 'christian' moral panic. To use video games as an example since we're on a video games forum, historically it was always the right flipping out about video games, claiming they are the root of various societal evils. It's only lately that people on the left have started to also fit that description with a new video game moral panic. The framing for "triggered" just being sjws is rather bizzare as a result, i think the far right latched onto it because, well, it's nice to have people on the other side just as bad as you are, i guess? But really this isn't even new, in the US the far right has always been more "triggered", at least as far as i remember. Like, it's religious fervor in many cases, you don't get much more crazy than when you have a righteous god backing you up.
lmao @ the part where maga kid listens to logic
I hope logic tweets about it. Can you imagine your favorite artist saying "fuck you in particular" xD
the entire way this story is being framed is ass backwards.
we should be saying, "Wow! Look at this badass native dude, standing up against political intolerance. He brought his drum and stared down these kids and hopefully made them think twice!"
instead we are framing it as if this dude was just minding his own business and was victimized and surrounded by these Trump supporters. He wasn't a victim of anything, he was being ACTIVE and we should applaud him for it.
oh no people having fun, call the fun police
Lot of respect for the elderly native american who stood up and kept chanting to the pathetic children trying to intimidate him. This kid is an idiot.
People have become objectively propped up and supported by life helping technology, and no matter what their subjective views, the repercussions are mostly a slap on the wrist. But, from constant speculating, analyzing, and hypothetical forecasting on possible future outcomes. I have been getting warning lights and bells ringing in my head (allegorically) when it comes to likely future occurrences. A feeling that everything will come to a head, collapse on itself, causing a big catastrophic event to happen that dwarfs world war II.
I'm sorry I wanted more information before vilifying a bunch of kids who were most likely raised on their parents political beliefs and never had the chance to sit down and talk about issues we face today to know why their actions are unacceptable.
they aren't elementary school kids dude. if they were going to grow out of being hateful shitheads they would've done it a long while ago
I'm not denying these kids aren't shitheels but that's not necessarily true, not everyone is the same person they were at 14-16 as they are in their twenties onward.
I don't know, I think vilifying shit-eating dickheads like these is a perfectly fine thing to do. Even if you post a six-second clip of a man walking like it matters.
Because if you vilify them like this, you're only going to continue and enable their hate. They're not gonna learn from this. Sit them down and talk to them.
Then double fuck 'em. This idea that vilifying these garbage people is a bad thing was already questionable but as the Trump presidency has gone on, it's just become pathetic.
If these kids respond to this shit by doubling down on the racist, xenophobic horse shit, you know what that means? They don't care about changing. They don't want to learn anything.
Covington Catholic: Longer video shows start of the incident at Indigenous Peoples March
Longer video shows start of Covington Catholic incident at Indig..
There's a full, 2 hour video of the whole thing and I think this may have been a big steaming pile of horseshit. Look here:
https://youtu.be/t3EC1_gcr34
The incident with the native american man start shortly after the 1h12m mark. As you can see, HE approached THEM, not the other way around. The kids were not surrounding the man or trying to intimidate him. According to one statement I found it seems like the kids didn't even sense any hostility from the man and were just chanting along with him before realizing he started getting up into people's faces. Nobody was blocking him from leaving. And all the while the group of activists are slinging homophobic slurs at the kids. There is no point in the video where the words "build the wall" can actually be heard coming out of those kids' mouths. They're just chanting school slogans.
So in the end, it was a bunch of high school kids being pressured by their school to go to an anti-abortion protest (which is a whole different subject you all can argue about), they act like fucking high school kids, and that one kid who was "smirking" at the native man was most likely just pulling the Retail Smile (aka that smile you put on when you're in a really uncomfortable situation that you don't know how to escape from). So congratulations, you all just vilified a kid over nothing (or at least for the wrong reason, depending on your stance on anti-abortion protests and whether or not the kids in question even wanted to be there in the first place). Maybe next time you should wait a bit and seek out further information on these kinds of incidents rather than jumping the gun because the initial reports fueled your biases.
But he grinned, menacingly!
I also wanna point out that even the media is now apologizing for this.

Oh and i wanna direct your attention to this article.
http://amp.fox2detroit.com/news/native-american-claims-racial-harassment-by-emu-students-dressed-as-indians
This was from 2015.
Why are people dumbing this?, after going through parts of the livestream, it seems that the native American Nathan Phillips approached them, and I tried looking and didn't see any point in the video where the kids chanted 'build the wall'. You can say the kids are little shits, they were disrespectful for sure, but several of the key facts being presented about this story is incorrect and everyone is mostly commenting on those incorrect parts.
a lie can get halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on
first amendment of the US constitution
God damn, I hate how this has become the norm. Some video surfaces on the Internet and people have to start to identify the dude, where he lives, his family, his friends, where he works, apparently what essay writing services he has used and what music he enjoys.
I find it highly disturbing in 99% of all cases similar to this one.
What makes this one worse, though, is that after spending like a dozen tweets painstakingly telling us all the non-private information this guy could gleam, he ends it all by warning other people that identifying the kid is wrong, both because he's under 18 and because if they were to mob up against him online, they'd be no better.
Like, no, just fuck off and stop trying to invade people's private lives whenever they make a splash on the internet This type of stuff is especially prevalent on social media platforms like facebook, twitter, and youtube, where people seem to think they have a right to know the full amount of personal information on anyone at any given time, especially if they disagree with you.
Like sorry my rant was pretty unrelated but seeing as how this story seems to be plagued with misinformation, the fact internet detectives got their magnifying glass out for this just makes it all the worse.
It's actually kinda infuriating how doxing has become something that's a bit commonplace
that sounds good on paper, but in reality it would become a very bad idea very fast
