https://mobile.twitter.com/roflinds/status/1087482823978684422?s=20 The group of innocent praying virgin boys seemed to have harassed people after all. Or are my leftist eyes deceiving me?

I'm so fucking confused at this point
Dude, we are like on 8th layer of "Who's actually being harassed?", what the fuck is going on anymore
I'm sure the kids harassed people. I'm pretty sure the kids were harassed. The kids should not be doxxed under any circumstances though, regardless of the events that occured and if you want to defend doxxing, please, for the love of god, pick a different hill to die on.
It's a womans March and they are yelling slut at her
Why do you guys need to be kept constantly up-to-date on whether or not a small group of children are, or are not, assholes? Yeah, they seem like assholes. Okay. There are a lot of asshole kids in the world. We don't need breaking news following all of them. That's creepy and fucked up.
I would rather not live in a society where information warfare is commonplace, but let's be pragmatic for a second. The right does this shit literally all of the time, like when the alt-right was posting out of context clips to push the narrative that David Hogg was a crisis actor. Sure, there was some pushback, but ultimately all that happened was that people took from it what they wanted; people on the left became further entrenched in the view that the right is dishonest, and right wing crazies just ignored the backlash and became further entrenched in their conspiracy theory bullshit. Is "being better" a legitimate strategy here, or is playing by the rules just going to get the left stomped by people who only care when it benefits them?
Do you think stooping to a lower and more aggressive stance is really the best way to win? Does being an asshole who takes literally every opportunity to go low actually signal anything virtuous to you? If the left wants to win in the long term, it can't do what the right is doing. It's not as good at it, and it's not as organized or lock step, and it's counter to the whole point of the ideology. Studies show that democrats, and republicans today are more hardline in their views than ever. If you don't share 9/10 views with the rest of your party, you are an "Outsider". This isn't sustainable, and it isn't going to help grow the party or grow a discourse that leads to a better nation. I truly do not believe playing dirty will win you any favours.

uhh did someone get this because now the account is saying it's been suspended
Can we start banning for out of context video clips? They add nothing but useless info. For example, that exclamation is immediately followed by a kid yelling that he doesn't even go to the school. The clip also ignores that it was said in response to insults from the Black Hebrew group.
Wow that was quick. Was a clip of that (same) group of kids screaming at a group of women at the march. I'll try to find a secondary source.

Alright. I honestly fell for that statement the kid made. It seemed too earnest and respectable to be fake or prepared, especially how it matched the new footage released at the time. Unless he was coached on it, but his Mom clearly showed herself incapable of tact, and I didn't think the school would have done it either. But if the Mom hired a PR firm, then it's all falling into place. It all makes sense now. Especially with the new video showing a better perspective. https://vimeo.com/312330750 this whole incident just shows how important it is for news sources to get the details right the first time. Getting the details wrong made them fuck up even harder by over correcting.
Jake Tapper appears to also be the first to set the tone with the PR statement that was released and the person they hired to work on it also works at CNN with Tapper and Tapper regularly has him on his shows. The tomahawk chops, the mocking native american style chanting, the laughing, sneers, and everything else clearly show their racism and the way they tried to cover it up looks and sounds just about exactly like it happened during the civil rights movement.
If this is true then can I get a source on this because that's huge.

God I hope this isn't true.
Casually stumbled across it here: https://twitter.com/auntbeckyrose/status/1087589454364078080 And at a cursory glance holds up well. Covington Teen Nick Sandmann’s Statement Crafted By Republican P.. Sandmann’s statement had been crafted by a Republican-linked public relations firm founded in part by a former staff member and adviser to current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, also of Kentucky. Scott Jennings has also been a conservative commentator on CNN since 2017, according to his online biography, post by the Louisville-based RunSwitch Public Relations.

You're right actually, i'll snip it
Gotta give the extreme right credit for knowing how to spin stories and make heroes out of thin air.
I feel an idiot for falling for the initial outrage. I should have waited till more sources had come out before trying to state my feelings. Another reason why I should take a more serious look at articles and information in the future.
I didn't fall for the initial outrage but I fell for the "actually the teenagers were completely innocent and respectable" PR stunt.
Does it really change anything if the kid's PR statement was written by a PR firm? I mean, it looks to me like the original narrative was shown to be false, and instead of owning up to it, everyone who bought it is searching for reasons to justify their reactions. Even if the kids are provocative, entitled assholes, the story in the OP is actual fake news, and it bothers me to see people I respect trying to deflect that rather than admit that they were fooled- let alone express a sincere desire to avoid falling for it in the future.
example i saw linked earlier. They probably don't actually review reports made towards blue checkmarks https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxgkPDYX4AA6f9V.jpg https://twitter.com/Civiltarian/status/1087330390791065600
Yes, because it makes it much more likely to be a carefully engineered falsehood. I wouldn't expect a teenager to come up with something that sounds that respectable and fits with all the available evidence unless 1. he was being honest or 2. he was being coached on it. I thought being coached on it was unlikely considering the school's response and the mother's behavior, but if he hired a PR firm, him either being coached on his response, or the response being constructed entirely by the PR firm is all but certain.
