Will Trump decide that he's alright with losing?
Trump will just move the goalposts until he's winning again. There is no high bar he cannot backflip over so he doesn't have to admit he's backpedaling.
Trump cannot lose, because admitting to himself that he can lose will destroy him. He will redefine winning to mean losing before he acknowledges the elephant in the room.
It's a bunch of slimy shit is what it is. On the surface its a good thing, one would expect our elected leaders to put the future of the country as a whole above the petty partisanship that infests politics. But that's not the context the Turtle used it in, and it would be more accurate to replace 'country' with 'Trump'.
He doesn't want the Dems to put the country before politics, he wants them to kowtow to Orange in Chief and fund his stupid little wall.

McConnell's so unsettling to look at. He looks like a half-melted wax candle became a human suddenly. Easy jabs aside, it's so depressing to keep eyes on politics. Everyone always says "you don't have to" when the thought comes up, but these days, it's almost necessary to watch how quickly the nation is crumbling under the leadership of blatantly evil individuals.
You could say that he's really come out of his shell.

It boggles my mind that, in a state tha t overwhelmingly hates him, McConnell is able to cruise to victory each election.

a simple enough matter: while mcconnell is hated, the gop base hates the demonrats more. They follow the same logic of voting only for their team so it's easy for him to garner the votes if he's running for the final ticket.
