• White House: Trump is prepared for a second shutdown

Exactly my point. There is no way in hell that it's a coincidence that the workers starting to mobilise against the government just so happened to coincide with the government caving in so they got their next paychecks. To paraphrase: all the workers have to do to have the ruling class utterly whipped is to put their hands in their pockets and wait.
More of this should happen, too many companies are blatantly not treating workers right despite being more than capable of doing so.

How many times must we teach you this lesson, old man? Funny thing is that the shutdown already has delayed the process to ratify Trump's trade deal with Canada and Mexico, and there's now more incentive then ever for Pelosi's House to reject it flat out (Congress does not get the ability to change the deal, only pass/reject it). Failure of Trump's NAFTA-v1.1 would leave the existing NAFTA rules in place unless/until Trump pulls the US out (which requires six months' notice). The President is incapable of negotiating unless he takes hostages. It's all he knows.
The definition of insanity.
master statesmanship from pelosci "We'll look at funding for border walls but there will be no money for the wall." "I want the wall, wall wall wall!" pelosci knows how to make the border not a wall but trump is deranged about it.
