and yet wage growth remains stable, weird how we can't get wages to grow even with 3-4% growth
Not a bad thing. The mission for eternal growth is basically #1 reason for unsustainability. Underdevelpoed countries should grow, Germany is pretty much at max at our level of development
Because the moment you ask nicely for things like a livable minimum wage (paid) economic experts will start to appear on your TV screen telling you about how that's supposedly socialism, how you don't want to live in Venezula, and even how that would kill jobs when we have more than enough evidence at this point that it's actually not doing that and it's probably just plain and simple greed of the rich.
Economic Experts? You mean talking heads. They don't talk to actual economic experts because they've been blaring the same whistle as everyone else. They get disgraced or 'famous' business people.
I know that this is a bit of leap, but the fact that some poor people looked at Trump and thought "LOOK, HE'S ONE OF US." speaks volumes. I think what more and more people in the US (or even in general) start to realise is that the growth, the economy, the market, etc. don't give a fuck about people. You get rich people who don't want to pay taxes and suggest things like replacing that entirely with charity and scholarships. Fuck yeah, let's go back to the middle ages where your well-being was depending on the goodwill of your lord.
I know its a leap but you're not wrong.
even the economists are sharply divided between those that are dogmatically lower taxes, lower regulations and those that are more centered, there's not many leftist economists in the west because its always been a conservative field
