• Bernie Sanders announces run for presidency in 2020

I’m predicting that we’ll see something similar to the Republican primary in 2016 happen to the Dems this time around. The DNC will pull out all the stops as usual, but with a crowded field and weakened superdelegates I think Bernie has enough popularity and momentum to just bowl everyone over and trump the primary.

Even though any rational analysis would dismiss the bird incident as dumb luck, it really seemed like a magical disney moment. It still blows my mind that he didn't win last time around.
I just donated $27 to the campaign; I can't wait to see what the day 1 donation statistics look like.

The cynic in me says it was a planned out PR stunt, but even so it was at least something wholesome and harmless.
Superdelegates didn't make a difference last time
Every single news station listed Hillary as having "won" pretty much every superdelegate at the very beginning of the primaries so it looked like Clinton already had an insurmountable lead over Bernie. They had a huge impact. Selling the idea that a candidate is doomed from the start with extremely skewed graphs isn't fair fucking play.
can we combine bernie and warren into one person? please? I can't decide who to vote for...
I think I'm gonna vote for warren in the primary, but obv gonna vote for literally any democrat who wins

Bernie's passion and Warren's policy 😍
wtf is with the boner for Warren here, she sucks only slightly less than the rest, she's a bit racist and she's a self-confessed capitalist, all you'll get with her is Medicare for some
There's literally nothing wrong with being a capitalist if you want to reform the system and make it work better for everyone. Bernie is not even an actual socialist. He might call himself one but he's still fundamentally just a Social Democrat. As for Warren, she knows what she's talking about. She can get right into the weeds on the deepest issues and actually come up with brilliant solutions. and don't delude yourself into thinking we're actually going to get medicare for all with bernie. we need 60 votes in the senate for that and that will not happen again.
idk what "self confessed capitalist" means. I wouldn't vote for someone who's anti-capitalism. Even Bernie, who has called himself a socialist, is just a social democrat, which is still capitalism. Also she supported single payer back in 2008

Personally I like her experience with basically creating the CFPB and somewhat running it as well
"She knows what she's talking about", so Bernie doesn't? Why are you discrediting him? If she could come up with "brilliant solutions", then why are we still in such a terrible state? Why are we still dominated by private healthcare? Why are disgruntled employees still shooting up their workplaces? Why are we still decades-behind on things that Europe fixed faster? We're not progressing fast enough, and we're actually regressing in many parts. Do you not see why people are tired of Warren and other corporate husks? Because people like her benefit from keeping a strong divide and drip-feeding solutions so people will vote for her party when some GOP mong comes and reverses it all. It's all planned. She truly does not give a fuck about anyone unless you're in the highest-income bracket and have strong connections to the richest. It's not hard to understand why wealthy people like proboardlol and you support corporate people like Warren so much. You indirectly benefit from it.
This didn't answer anything. All it did is create flowery rhetoric.
Imagine calling Elizabeth Warren a corporate shill, the brain behind the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and an A tier progressive next to Bernie's S tier.
I don't like her, but that doesn't mean I won't vote for her if she or another Dem ends up being the candidate. If there's anything I don't want regardless, it's Trump or the GOP getting a 2nd term.

I'm really not sure how you interpreted their post that way. It didn't come across as remotely discrediting Sanders to me but more their support for Warren as a viable alternative. All of those questions could easily be counter by pointing out that we Have Sanders yet they're also still not solved. Or in other words it's not a good attempt at arguing your point since the candidate you appear to support also hasn't been able to fix those issues despite having solutions thought up for many of them.
Fellow Canadian bystander here, I hope Bernie pulls in all the stops. I'm usually very apolitical and netrual in my stance but in heart I'm a lover of human kind and the spirit of our race is what makes me move during my downtime. I feel like Bernie speaks for the human soul like I haven't seen in awhile so as a spectator he's got my support.
https://twitter.com/bourgeoisalien/status/1097866577750474754 Sanders is back and he brought his ass kickin' boots!
This is why I don't take people who claim he's too old seriously. He's more quick-witted than a lot of people our age and easily sees through bullshit despite being 77 years-old. Meanwhile, the current president is more senile and has a much more unhinged discourse than my grandmother who's been taking mind-crippling mental medication for decades. Nobody asks the president to lift 50kg weights or run a marathon. The important part is mental fortitude, and he's got it.
Please don't fuck this up again America!
