I wonder how the Bernie or Bust people are handling the whiplash.

Bernie has a much stronger message that will resonate with more people, Trump can't compete with that so he has to erode the man's integrity and build a narrative around it.
I went to find this tweet on T_D expecting to find a bunch of disparaging comments but the tone surprised me. Lots of people saying they are ex-Bernie supporters. Fascinating. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225943/608e8c1a-e874-4299-b05b-f4a3697a1f36/6ea526f1-8273-4488-8c63-ee838837997b.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225943/23394ac4-afea-41d0-977c-6a1bcd457817/903dbd34-2e5b-4e52-a130-48cc2c8ddbe3.png
The whole ex-bernie-bro-now-trumper shit is so fucking weird and shows how no one knows what the fuck they're voting for.
It's reminiscent of Brexit in that people vote just because they believe they are upsetting the status quo, without much thought beyond that. A generalisation of course, but it is a thing.
At least some of them knew; they had a reason, it just wasn't a reason based on policy or political party but rather 'outsiderness'. That means those same people can be brought back to Sanders' side because they're the definition of 'fairweather friends'. Trump shouldn't underestimate Sanders (but I hope he does) because Sanders is just as much a 'political outsider' as Trump was -- except his outsiderness comes with less abject and in-your-face racism and hatred, which I would hope is generally more appealing.

That was an incredible improvement over his 2016 interviews. Every time I thought he might be returning to his stump speech as he did so often in 2016, he only did a small amount of stumping -- to repeat the point and drive it home -- and immediately continued to provide actual new things to say to respond to their questions directly. I felt like he responded to every question very well (except for where he focused on the sexual harassment claims; I get that they're probably his campaign's biggest threat but oof) and didn't give a generic answer to any of them.
It shows that american politics is more about personality than policy for many people
These are the supporters of Bernie I think we would rather not be around.
