https://youtu.be/VpPyytsTxkU NPCs are hilarious, which makes them more desirable than anyone, who's still placated by Trump's empty promises and paper-thin lies.
I still don't get anyone who hates John Oliver. At worst, his comedy can sometimes be a bit basic for the point of appealing to a mass audience. That kind of comes with the territory of a late night comedy show, and it doesn't stop it from having intelligent humor as well like the Theresa May "Children of the Corn" joke which is still one of my all time favorites. Additionally, Oliver's show is always incredibly well informed and informational of even some of the most nuanced topics. It's why the right hates it so much, as it a show that genuinely informs viewers about events truthfully, while also entertaining most viewers. They just try to hide it behind the fact they don't like the humor.
The "he isn't funny" excuse is especially humorous when he himself acknowledges it repeatedly. Hell there's a reason I tell my friends that I am going to "watch Unfunny British Man" whenever a Last Week Tonight pops up on my YouTube homepage. It all goes back to his self-degradation.
Okay, I'm sorry, but being aware of how bad your show is doesn't make it good again. I sincerely dislike the show because of how reductive(in the same way the right tends to be) and unfunny it is, even if I agree with the sentiment behind it.
Do you remember any examples of it being reductive?
He also killed it when he filled in for Jon Stewart.
I regularly enjoy the show, and know many others who also find it funny, and don't think it's reductive(Because it's not). Self depreciating humour about bits you recongize didn't land as expected is not a bad thing.
I can't really criticize the NPC meme, because that meme doesn't even show half the contempt for the incapacity for independent thought that I show for them.
Now that I think of it, being critical of something is sorta the antithesis of NPC behaviour in my experience, typically the AI is really bad at judging a bad situation from good.
It's only funny because it's John Oliver. A painful meme making fun of a painful individual
Thank you, I was looking for that tweet. For some reason I thought it was from Shaun.
