We're getting to almost literal Just Cause villain status, here. Like, what the fuck.
It's painful that 2019 has a surprising amount of dictators, with rampant authoritarianism lurking in more countries than one would hope.
Woo! Maduro confirmed for appearance in JC4 DLC! Seriously though, does he want revolutions? Cause that’s how you get revolutions.
It's always painful removing tumors. The old will get old and the young will get stronger.
'Collateral damage, while regrettable, is sanctioned.'
given the USA's history of destabilizing the central americas and propping up far-right political regimes you'd be forgiven for not wanting them anywhere near your country tbh
Perhaps sometimes, but I disagree in this situation where swathes are malnourished.
No, right now President bumblefuck could absolutely still find a way to make the situation so much worse. We need to sit this one out.
this "humanitarian aid" is literally just fucking guns to start a coup. its happened in every single other situation that the us has stuck its dick in, why should now be any different? the "aid" operation is being headed up by a dude who armed kill squads in Iran and Nicaragua, its so fucking obvious. theres actual aid being delivered by the UN and the red cross and all this is doing is putting the people who are actually trying to help in danger. if the us actually wanted to help they'd lift sanctions on them, or get the uk to give the $1.2bn that they're withholding from the venezualan government
Trucks laden with U.S. food and medicine returned to warehouses in Colombia after opposition supporters failed to break through lines of troops, who dispersed them with tear gas and rubber rounds, injuring dozens. Witnesses said masked men in civilian clothes also shot at protesters with live bullets. Hm, who do I believe, one of the most reputable media sources in the world or some guy who can't even read past the first paragraph of the article. Difficult choice.
do you legit think that they actually went, looked in those trucks and were like "yeah thats food alright"? they're just echoing what the government is telling them https://twitter.com/CivMilAir/status/1099508506162532354 i suppose this is just carrying food too right?
Evidence for any of this? I guess it's easy to let people starve to death when you haven't any skin in the game. Lifting those sanctions is the absolute last thing they should be doing, since those sanctions were only put in place to stop the government leaders from stealing every penny they could and hiding them overseas. https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-office/2015/03/09/fact-sheet-venezuela-executive-order There's the reasoning from the Obama era sanctions. Those sanctions, and the later ones, were put into place because the regime had been stealing billions of dollars from the Venezuelan people while leaving them to rot from famine and disease, and are targeted against specific individuals and the methods used for their corrupt dealings. Here's the complete list of US sanctions: https://www.state.gov/e/eb/tfs/spi/venezuela/ Please try not to let your hatred of America and anti-US propaganda blind you to the injustices of the current regime.
I think you are mistaken, comrade. This is facepunch, not r/chapotraphouse.

So can you provide any evidence to actually back up your claims? You shouldn't be surprised that people aren't believing some random guy on the internet who's providing zero evidence for his claims over a reliable source that has a history of providing accurate information.
I don't know about gun shipments, but using economic leverage in "Unconventional Warfare" is part of the play book, That is, atleast, if Wikileaks can still be trusted: https://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/1099695756800413696
Yeah you already know the answer to that question, given Russian support of Venezuela.
I wouldn't go so far as to jump to the conclusion that the US is actively sending weapon's shipments as part of their aid-packages- But i sure as fuck do not trust the Intentions of the US-government towards the situation- what' with the moron-in-chief outright saying he wants to move in and claim the oilfields for the multinational corporations. Like what the fuck. That- and thanks to how fucking awfully the US has treated south-america in the past, Maduro has a perfect story to sell his supporters.
No amount of time passing will prevent people from grabbing power in nations. Being a dictator is one of the oldest professions in the world. We will have dictators somewhere on the planet in the year 2500
Fucking people supporting a dictator that has ruined venezuela, embezzling resources, starving and terrorizing it's citizens. Both china and russia are financially supporting this dictator in exchange for a piece of the pie that Maduro is exploiting. Keep in mind Maduro isn't just denying US aid, he's denying ALL aid that would otherwise provide food and medicine to people. And even IF America would be sending in weapons as well, GOOD the people need it to defend themselves from the sanctioned criminals and thugs maduro has unleashed to cause terror.
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/wikileaks/ Wikileaks is no longer considered reliable by most people. They claim to support transparency and accountability but in the last few years have shown themselves to be politically motivated and thus no longer actually adhere to their stated goals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks#Promotion_of_conspiracy_theories Murder of Seth Rich Further information: Murder of Seth Rich WikiLeaks has promoted conspiracy theories about the murder of Seth Rich.[256][257][258] Unfounded conspiracy theories, spread by some right-wing figures and media outlets, hold that Rich was the source of leaked emails and was killed for working with WikiLeaks.[259] WikiLeaks fuelled the conspiracy theories by offering a reward of $20,000 for information leading to the capture of Rich's killer and hinting that Rich may have been the source of the leaked emails.[260] No evidence supports the claim that Rich was the source of the leaks.[19][261] The Guardian wrote that WikiLeaks, along with individuals and groups on the hard right, had been involved in the "ruthless exploitation of [Rich's] death for political purposes".[262] The executive director of the Sunlight Foundation, an organization that advocates for open government, was critical of WikiLeaks' fueling of conspiracy theories surrounding the murder of Seth Rich: "If they feel like they have a link to the staffer's death, they should say it and be responsible about it. The insinuations, to me, are just disgusting."[263] Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton WikiLeaks has popularized conspiracies about the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton, such as tweeting an article which suggested Clinton campaign chairperson John Podesta engaged in satanic rituals (which was later revealed to be false),[18][264][265] implying that the Democratic Party had Seth Rich killed,[19] suggesting that Clinton wore earpieces to debates and interviews,[266] claiming that Hillary Clinton wanted to drone strike Assange,[267] promoting conspiracy theories about Clinton's health,[20][268][269] and promoting a conspiracy theory from a Donald Trump–related Internet community tying the Clinton campaign to child kidnapper Laura Silsby.[270] They also promote conspiracy theories as well which further calls into question the veracity of the information they release.
Yeah, when they lit those trucks of humanitarian aid on fire, you could see all the explosions from the hidden ammunition Oh wait no you couldn't
riddle me this batman - how do you make a country with the most bountiful fresh water and energy reserves in the world somehow run out of everything? bolivarianism/chavism
Please don't use the tragedy that it's happening at the moment in Venezuela to strengthen whatever agenda you have.
How does this twitter account track these things? I wouldn't expect military flights to be public
They haven't, it would run counter of their 'Fuck America' twitch.
No, since Venezuelans are banned from /r/chapotraphouse for going against the tankie narrative
I'm starting to have flashbacks of the war in Syria with the White Helmets, which almost each week there were proof on each side that were real and staged to the point everything gets fuzzy* *apparently on a recent report published at The Guardian, they are real and the proofs of being staged were actually staged ( yes is a bit confusing ). Other stuff like the chemical attacks seems less clear as some half-truths are around yet ( feel free to send me info if something new is discovered ). Desinformation warfare I guess, confuse as you can to the point one not longer knows what is real and what not ( at least these trucks were for sure bringing aid, but now the rumours are that the goons that set them on fire are actually paid by the opposition, no clear sources ofc ).
Yeah I decided to do the smart thing and look it up.
