The madlads actually did it: the Cooper-Letwin bill, which forces the government to request an extension to A50, has passed through parliament in just 3 sitting days and received Royal Assent.
Theresa May is now legally required to table a motion on Tuesday specifying the length of delay she will seek - this motion will be amendable. If the EU proposes a different date, she'll now be legally required to hold a vote on the offer and won't be able to straight up reject it.
