PepoSpecial is the only way I can describe our government. Thank fuck that no deal is dead, but jesus christ.
God that was close.
Too close for comfort, especially when compared to yesterday's vote. Just got to get all of it down in law now.
That's way too many noes.
From what news I was anxiously checking at work all day, some voted against it because "they didnt want to take it off the table" jesus christ why is the IQ barrier for being a politician so fucking low
This was an amendment, the Government bill that specifically says rules out leaving on the 29th instead of on any day is later and that one should have more Ayes.
It is worth it is a nonbinding vote; No Deal is off the table as an option for now, however it could still come back at a later date. As I said previously, if there is no extension then we will end up falling back to No Deal. It is not over yet.
I can breathe a little easier but we're not out of the woods yet. We are going to have to claw our sanity back braincell by fucking braincell.
I'm trying to get my head around what amendment f is asking for. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/237630/d99a1e1a-34ca-45c3-876c-8c8ccf20cd70/Screenshot_20190313-192413__01.jpg
Should be evident now what the intentions are of those who didn't want to rule out no-deal. They want a deregulated UK to instantiate their libertarian, laisez-faires policies and turn us into a rampant capitalist corporatocracy. There's no way anyone, at this stage, could be voting in ignorance, or blinded by naivety.
Apparently it pisses off a lot of, if not most or all EU politicians.
Yeah tell me about it 51% of people who voted in the referendum voted to "Leave the European Union" and parliament, who are full of elected representatives, have been thwarting any form of Brexit so far while the public get no say to ensure we leave
General election when?
Amendment F defeated. f
It sounded like a managed no deal tbh
Amendment F is a repeat of a compromise with the EU the EU already rejected so it was dumb.
This final vote seems so pointless, considering that amendment A added onto "That this house...". They are literally voting on 3 words.
The job of the MPs is not to "do what we tell them". It is to run the country, with the best interests of the country first. We are a representative democracy, not a direct democracy. We vote MPs in based on a platform they propose, not based on whatever shitty ideas we shouted at them during the campaign. If the MPs cannot work out a way to make Brexit work that doesn't fucking destroy us they should avoid it at all cost. If their constituents don't like that, they can vote them out (though most of the gammons who still want to leave insist they wont vote ever again after this "beetrail" lmao). Then it's up to the next poor fucker who's lumped with the will of an uneducated and propagandised minor-majority to work it out. The only MPs that are currently fighting tooth and nail for no-deal are all self serving toffs who are making millions of pounds each day this farce stretches on, and will go on to make even more should we actually leave via deregulation (we aren't going to get trade deals with many non-EU blocs if we stick to EU standards after all!) or by getting their vested interests involved in the post-leave operations somehow (that fucking questionable "ferry" company ring any bells?).

has the deregulated libertarian paradise ever existed in the UK? if it hasn't why are these people called conservatives

And Farrage was on BBC News outright admitting that he is trying to get some of his buddies to veto the extension if it comes up.
You can hear the life energy of the PM slowly draining away as she speaks.
"That could risk no Brexit at all" *Cheers*
Can that guy just fuck off?
Leave Wins in 2016: "Hurr durr i'm leaving politics lmao later gays sort it out" * Gets caught hanging around with Trump * * Gets caught hanging around with bannon * * Gets caught trying to influence far right groups in the EU * Brexit suffers an existential crisis: "okay i'm back but not in ukip because they can't hide their blatant racism and that puts me at risk"
Farrage is so butthurt his brexit is failing that he is trying to make everything shit for everyone.
why the fuck is this turd called nigel farage allowed ANYWHERE near the EU?
Just a reminder on Farage. https://assets.bwbx.io/images/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/iDmv6V.tohUk/v1/600x-1.jpg Bloomberg
