I'm just not sure people appreciate the legal impossibility of keeping this document an absolute secret. Some people frankly seem to believe the Trump administration has limitless power. That must be a very defeating and paranoid feeling but I don't share it.

Like I said, you can't put any faith in what Barr is saying. He's a Trump guy, he's been critical of the investigation. If we really want to know what the report says we have to read the report. Not a guy's summary who's willing to protect Trump

What do you mean it rooted out corruption at the highest levels? A few small fish were removed from a very polluted ocean. The big fish remain. Trump, Pence, McConnell and the rest of the GOP tank and file will continue to throw this country deeper into disarray regardless of what this report did or did not find. This and all the other reports that come out are only as effective as the people who enforce the law. And as long as the GOP retains power those laws will continue to shoved aside by people with enough money to buy a congressman.

because I'm not really keen on having trump be reelected in 2020 and if this doesn't stop him I dont think much will.
I had no hopes for this, because the idea of Trump spending the rest of his life rotting in a prison sounds like too much like justice to actually happen.
I think the only thing that's gonna get Trump elected in 2020 is pessimism like this. His approvals have been consistently very bad. Most people do not like him. It'll be a fight to keep him from getting reelected, but being voted out is a much more likely thing than him being walked away in handcuffs and anyone who thought that was the likely end of the Mueller investigation was fooling themselves.
I'm going to stop you here. Trump's approval rating is in the gutter and I'm pretty sure lightning won't strike twice. He won last time by appealing to middle-American fly over states. Now the mystique is gone. Some will still vote for the guy - of course - but I don' think it'll be enough.
Honestly, the only thing that gives me pause is that people trust the media less then Trump. He has a good shot if the Dems pick someone completely unelectable like they did last time, but if their candidate is Bernie or possibly even this Yang guy? Yeah, Trump's screwed. Wall vs 1000$/mo of UBI... kinda wonder what people will choose.
