The investigation ran for 2-3 years, with a team of ~15. Then add up how much they gained from asset forfeiture. Then realize the size of the budget that the original $25m came from, and the magnitude of the investigation.

At this point the voters are the only ones capable of removing Trump from office. The justice department won’t have the public’s support due to his cult of personality. Even if there’s irrevocable evidence that Trump and the GOP committed high treason it won’t matter to the voters. The only way to change their minds is to prove that Trump is a DIRECT THREAT to the economy/their way of life. That’s not something any criminal investigation can do.
