• Redacted Mueller report out

Seeing him constantly try to hijack Game of Thrones trademarks is extremely annoying to me, most of the core messages of the books/show are against everything that he is pushing.
Like I said, Trump's already learned what he needs to do to appease his fans and other Republicans. As long as he acts that everything is going well for him, nobody will doubt it. Most of his supporters won't even think about reading the report or finding out more about and they'll just accept anything he says as the ultimate truth. Meanwhile, it also draws undecided and ignorant people towards him, because they probably don't care enough to go through all the sources and hey, look at him, he looks confident and happy, so I guess it all was just a witch hunt!
If Trump was a GoT character he'd be dead already and his death would've been required to have been recut twice to make it less gory. And he's so wrapped up in the lie that he's awesome that he doesn't even realize it.
...and people thought Hillary Clinton's "Pokemon GO to the Polls" was a real blunder.
I'm very worried that the propaganda machine has already deflated the report
Probably stabbed in the back while golfing outside King's Landing.
We're living in a post-propaganda world where you don't need to spend time and effort to convince people of anything, they're already so deeply entrenched in their beliefs that they'll write the propaganda for you.
It's heartbreaking reading the report and thinking, 'It doesn't matter, people will conform reality to their politics.'
Fucking dumbass media jumped the gun on all these big CONSTANT "BOMBSHELL NEWS WHOA", and then shit the bed even harder the moment Trumps AG said "Nope its not collusion that's fake news" by instantly believing him
It is just a DOJ policy, but AFAIK that policy is based on an understanding that the Constitution would prevent the president from being indicted while in office, and that the Supreme Court would ultimately throw it out on those grounds. But since it's never been tried, there's never actually been a Supreme Court decision on whether the president can or can't be indicted, so it could go either way if they actually tried it. So it's a huge unanswered legal question, and obviously one that DOJ is very reluctant to test, because the consequences if the Supreme Court threw it out would be massive - apart from anything else, all doubt would be removed and it would be firmly established going forward that presidents are above the law while in office. But just to say, even if the DOJ did reverse that policy and indict the president, it would then be up to the Supreme Court to finally settle the issue of whether they can do that or not
Like it's been said, despite how great this is, people who support him will still support him. Hell it's not even about him being innocent for some. I was laying sod the otherday and the dudes I was laying sod with were and I quote "Happy that he's finally doing something about the spicks, hopefully he'll get rid of the niggers next" (Don't know if the n-word is bannable, but I feel you gotta understand the hatred some of these fuck heads have for people of different color) Which I love, because they act like they are the top of the white race, when in reality you wanna know who the real top of the white race is? The ones who don't let hate shape them and their views on other races. In fact that's the top of any race, the ones who let go of their race and try to better us as humans, as brothers and sisters. Be safe guys, not saying don't voice your opinion on this, but watch your backs because I'm sure there'll be people who want to cause harm over this. God I want this guy and all his imps to burn for what they have done to this great country. America deserved better than this POS, despite what anyone says.

I think it's pretty smart from a propaganda standpoint, his supporters are too stupid to see past the surface any kind of literature/media. Maybe if they could use their tiny brains for 5 seconds they would realize White Walkers are an analogy for climate change and maybe people labeled as foreign scum aren't so bad. I've tried pointing out messages from other media such as the Starship Trooper movie, and they simply tell me to stop projecting my lefist ideals in everything lol.
Free article idea up for grabs: university professor marks and grades Mueller's report
I swear to God, if this really started because of that'll I would never need to watch a comedy movie again. Imagine old Trump, before the 2016 campaign. Goofy reality celebrity most people didnt hate, alot remember him off of those WWE days. He wasnt that known for politics compared to today. Just being his ole sleazy billionaire self. Decided to have some hookers piss on Obama's bed because he got roasted by him, He probably woke up that morning with a hangover and probably didnt think too much of that decision last night. I mean hes rich, what kinda trouble would possible come his way? He bangs bimbo pornstars every Tuesday, who cares. IIRC he wasnt even expecting to win, that explains the look of his face when he was in the White House with Obama right after he won the election. The body language and look, he looked like he knew he was fucked and things wasnt even meant to go this far. But I guess he decided to wing it, hes president now and his boy Putin got his back. What's the worse that could happened to the president of the Unit-
Honestly sounds like we're in for some fun times here and there, am I wrong?
It may not oust Trump, but i'm expecting more of his associate's heads to roll than ever as he does everything he can to disassociate himself while loudly proclaiming he's entirely innocent the entire time.
Yes, you're wrong. Trump already has the supreme court and lower courts on lock, and they fastracked Via Turtle all the current incoming appointments to make sure almost any venue taking this case would be under trump's aegis. The only purely win scenario is Trump losing the next election, and then you have to choose prosecuting an old ass man at great cost or cleaning up the mess he continues to create at great cost. America was fucked as soon as Warren, Pelosi, and Clinton decide to fuck Sanders. What comes around goes around.
27X is correct, the dems probably won't pursue impeachment and we won't get to have much fun. CrimethInc. What will be the fruits of Mueller’s labors? Rank-and-file Democrats still don’t understand how power works. Crime is not the violation of the rules, but the stigma attached to those who break rules without the power to make them. (As they say, steal $25, go to jail; steal $25 million, go to Congress.) At the height of Genghis Khan’s reign, it would have been pointless to accuse the famous tyrant of breaking the laws of the Mongol Empire; as long as Trump has enough of Washington behind him, the same goes for him. Laws don’t exist in some transcendent realm. They are simply the product of power struggles among the elite—not to mention the passivity of the governed—and they are enforced according to the prevailing balance of power. To fetishize the law is to accept that might makes right. It means abdicating the responsibility to do what is ethical regardless of what the laws happen to be. I also imagine and predict now that the report is out, Trump will view reelection as an impossibility and will IMO spend the next 18 months consolidating power and preparing everything for remaining in power.
"Via Turtle" I guess we'll have to wait for elections then. Just hope people aren't gonna be as dumb...
i honestly doubt this will hurt trump in the eye's of his voter base. Anyone still supporting him is actually brainwashed and I doubt they'd drop him ever.
The reason that I think he'll view it that way isn't because it will hurt his base but because he needs more than his base to win again and someone (maybe himself) will convince him that the report will ruin his election in an unfair way.

Law reviews are gonna have a fucking field day with this.
One of my favorite out-of-context lines from the report that I've seen: "And historical experience confirms that no impermissible chill should exist." Trump's got no chill.
To be fair this won't ever be a thing until Samuel L Jackson and Keith David are co-elected.
It's quite insulting that their big defense, the big last minute solution was to basically proclaim "nothing to see here folks, go home". Just as bad was how this apparently being their defense made the orange cretin glad to know the report was done. Now I'm somewhat afraid because enough of his base has accepted that there was nothing incriminating, and as we know they are the kind to get violent to push their beliefs into truth.
It's horrible to see how much Fox News downplays this.
I think 538 made a good point in their weekly discussion: "natesilver: But Hoyer is right on the politics of this. Impeachment is not a popular option. As Amelia said, call Mueller to testify. Call Barr to testify. Call other people to testify. So you can have a drip, drip, drip against Trump, mostly to satisfy partisans and keep him off balance. But impeachment? Not popular." natesilver: Also, if Trump were unpopular enough that he could be not only impeached but also removed by the Senate — which would mean that his approval rating with Republicans would have to be way down — wouldn’t you rather run against him anyway? That would probably imply he had like a 29 percent approval rating or something, in which case the Democratic nominee in 2020 would be on track to win in an epic landslide and maybe pick up some huge congressional majorities too." Starting impeachment proceedings wouldn't be popular, and they would also fail in any environment where Trump isn't hilariously thoroughly beaten in 2020. I don't think pursuing impeachment is a viable strategy to winning that election - best case you remove Trump from office (unlikely), and a more generally appealing Republican candidate takes his place, or worse, you simply turn off independents who view Trump as a legitimately elected president (he largely is), and lessen your chances of winning said election. I honestly can't see the benefits of attempting impeachment as it stands, especially since congress is split right now, meaning Trump can really only do quite limited damage right now. No he won't. Trump hasn't been appealing to anyone but his base for his entire presidency, and the Mueller report won't change their opinion of him (perhaps he'll lose a couple of percent, but his approval rating has been exceedingly stable). His chances of winning as an incumbent are still fairly high. The idea that Trump will somehow both attempt and manage to disassemble American democracy in the next 16 months is foolish. It's not gonna happen.
