Joe Biden raises $6.3 million in one day, surpassing Sanders and O'Rourke

Amazing we are about to witness the Democrat party lose to Trump in 2020 all because of greed and incompetence.
What a fucking joke. Couldve been a easy election for them but nope let's shoot ourselves in the foot 20 times.
The Democratic party has a fundamental split in it that can never heal as long as liberals and leftists have to share the party due to the two party system.
Love him or hate him, he's popular among many.
I'm not voting for him, but he's hardly disliked by many Democrat voters.
Only reason he is, is, he was the Vice President. He is a shit canidate and if people actually fucking look into him, most wouldn't like him.
I guarantee these primaries will end up with Bernie and other more progressive/underdog/non-establishment figures snubbed. It'll be a Biden ticket, with Klobuchar or some other milquetoast token woman as VP. Maybe, just maybe, he'll pick Warren just to give a glimmer of hope to the growing true-left-wing faction and snag meaningless brownie points from braindead liberal/centrist ideologues who refuse to take any real, decisive action against the active fascist-ization of our political and legal institutions.
Then Trump will win through rampant political gerrymandering, mass purges of voter registries, highly targeted political advertising, rampant IRA-esque online political propaganda backed by Russian bots, "faulty" voting machines, rejection of provisional ballots, stricter voter ID laws, and every other dirty trick the GOP's used for the last half century. Biden and the other establishment liberals will try the same exact shit Obama did. They'll "compromise with" and appease the GOP's every whim, complaining the entire time, until every last democratic norm and institution has been burnt to the ground in the endless search for just one more thing that can be privatized, monopolized, and capitalized on.
I have zero doubt that Trump will win if Biden's middling centrist bullshit is jammed through the primaries. There is no room for compromise with the current GOP. There is no "balance" to be sought. McConnell has demonstrated that the norms of our democracy - shared patriotism, a good-faith legislative, public accountability, acceptance of compromise - are all nothing more than opportunities for exploitation. If the Democrats continue to naively think that the strength of our institutions alone will save us from the band of thieves standing in our home, they'll get demolished - and so will our institutions. Really, we should grab the handgun off the nightstand and take aim. Institutions are only as strong as the forces that back them. Biden might be all for standing your ground when a thief breaks into your home - but when they break into Congress and the White House, he's the first to roll over and say "okay, you can take half of my stuff, but pretty please don't take the rest - that's fair, right?"
